Often times they hurt if you are very dry. I recommend only using them if you need to do sporting events or go swimming. You may want to try OB applicator free tampons. You put them in with your finger, they are MUCH smaller than other tampons, and that way you can put them in a comfortable place in your body. Good luck and stay healthy!

ok.. i had that EXACT problem.... you have to get used to them and the way they feel.... it takes a little bit but it will be worth the time. What you do is when you ware putting one in prop your leg up a little and then just slip it in... now here is where it hurts for you... it might not be "wet" enough when you pull it out... so you basically have dry "cotton" coming out.. so take a bath with it in if you dont bleed a lot that time... or wait until you think it isnt dry anymore and prop your leg up as before and try that! i hope it helps.. it did for me! much love

Maybe it's because you're only ten years old. You should wait a couple years to get used to your body and the way it works, before you start trying to use tampons again.
