You should definetely tell your mother ahead of time, otherwise she'll come home from the conferance and totally flip out. It will help a little if you tell her early. Also you should start staying after school for extra help (if possible). When you talk to your mother, ask her about getting a tutor to help you raise your grades!! I hope your mom isn't too hard on you!! Good luck.

Calm down. Most high schools tend to go a bit easier on freshman since this is a new transition for them. Hurry up and try to make your grades up so you don't screw up your high school GPA. After your freshman year, high school tend to get a bit easier, because you're getting into the feel of things. I'm in my Junior year now, and high school is so flippin' easy, you'd be suprised. If you still have 3 Es at the end of the semester, then you should worry. Try and turn those Es into at least Cs. Don't panic, but do be concerned and do all your work and homework, the homework is what may save you, but still study for tests. Try and get out of your depression, go to parties, do something creative, do anything you can to not be depressed, 'cause that will mess you up for sure. ( Don't worry, I'm almost done )Now, your mom, tell her the situation, so she won't be suprised, thats what has saved me many times, but make it up to her. Don't just promise, make it up to her. Get tutoring if you need to, drink coffee all day if you need to in order to stay awake.

Victoria

High school is really stressful, it's normal to be stressed until you've been there awhile. Just sit down with your mom and tell her that you're having a hard time, and you're tired and stressed and your grades aren't that good at all. But be sure to tell her you're trying, and that it's only the first grades and you still have time to improve. Maybe get a tutor in your hardest classes, or talk to you teacher about what's going on. Good luck.
