Like if you have a class with him ask him a question about class or homework. That way you don't have to feel embarassed and it doesn't seem overly apparent that you are crushin' on him. Or you could compliment him, like say " I like that color shirt on you" and if you want to you could add a jokingly but serious " It's hott on you!" Don't be shy. You have nothing to lose. Or you could write him a note during class or whenever you see him. Also, you could casually ask for his weekend plans.
