i think you have to click View Answers first, then click Answer Question. i just did it on another post and it worked.

Maybe your accidentally logged on someone elses username. When I signed in today, I somehow was on someones screen name. If you can edit someone elses answer, then you have to be in their account. Simply hit log out and sign in again. If that doesn't work or that's not the problem than I don't know the answer.
