piercing ur own catrilage
whos pierced there own cartilage? did it get badly infected? or worse? i read about this girl who got it done and something shattered in her ear and it got deformed. did anything serious happen to any of you?

I have never pierced my cartilage b4 but i suggest you don't do it b/c my aunt got hers pierced by a specialist and it got badly infected,so what will happen if you pierce it yourself?i think it will get horribly infected,from my point of view.

hey! i've pierced my own cartilage. all you do is you need an earing that is meant for piercing because they are sharper, than you soak it in alcohol and then you put a mark where you want it and you just push it in. it won't hurt anymore than if a professional did it(if you do it right) it shouldn't get infected if you clean them everyday with alcohol.nothing serious happened to me! hope i helped please rate me!

dont do it. i've my ears myself, and they were fine, but the cartilage is a whole different story. that oart of the ear is very tough to get through, you shouldnt mess with it. i dont know about anything shattering, but i know it can get badly infected. just go and do it perfessionly.

Hey, i didnt pierce my own, but this one girl i knew did. With a nail on her wall. You have to be very carful or you could seriously fuck up your ear! And, it gets infected way easy.

I know of someone you did but I would not recommend it.Even getting your cartilage pierced by a professional it can get infected,or deformed,et cetera.So no I really don't think it's a good idea.But I don't make desicions for you.So if you do do it yourself remember to sterilize everything and take it out if you think it really might be infected.I got mine done at Claires for like fifteen bucks.And it didn't hurt. If you are hell bent on piercing your ears though aim for your earlobes you have a much less chance of infection and pain.

i know plenty of people that have peirced many parts of their body on their own. i had friends pierce their belly button, nose, lip, ears and cartilage. you just have to make sure that if you do do it on your own that the needle is sterilized or else you will get an infection. i wouldn't suggest doing it yourself because yes something serious can happen. go to a professional. hope i helped.

My friend did hers, it hurts a whole lot, no matter who does it, just take care of it and clean it, and it should be fine, although you'd probably be better off getting it done by someone else
