I have this bestfriend who has been there for me most of the time and i try and do the same. but it seems like when people talk about me she doesnt really defind me, im not ask for her to take sides but she is my bestfriend and she should defind me. ive tried talking to her about it but when i do the subject gets changed or its still a problem as you can tell. ive also tried talking to those who dont like me and they dont really care they just hate me because im different. and also i tend to get upset when she hangs out with them because i dont know weather im being talked about its not that i care if they talk crap but its her i dont know about i mean i do trust her in most matters but since she doesnt really defind i wouldnt know what to think..i dont count on looking for another bestfriend because there really isnt anything a problem with besides this and i dont really have anyone that i can really depend on other than her and my brother so i think that ive tried.
I know its alot but what should i do.

you just gotta tell her to her face how you feel dont let her change the subject. if she doesnt stick up for you maybe shes trying to fit in because thats what it sounds like. Bestfriends are much more important then popularity and hopfully she will relize that.You would stick up for her so she should do the same for you just talk to her about it and she will prolly do something to make things better and if not then..shes not a very good friend.
