I really love to play guitar.Its my favorite thing.But now that i play guitar i wanna start writing lyrics and songs.But the thing is ive got nothing.What should i do?

Try writing about your daily experiences and interactions. Keep a diary or journal with you, and with something interesting happens, write it down. Or, if you have secrets or deep feelings for someone, jot it down somewhere and it could be a basis for your songs =)
Also, try writing poetry from events that happen in your life.

im not the best with music, but i do know some stuff about song writing. Treat it like a poem, if you have a bad day, let your emotions out and theres your song. As sooon as you get any sort of strong emotion in your life (which wouldnt be a suprise with lifes twists, this website is living proof) write it down, and theres your song. good luck

Most people write about there life and past experiences or what they are feeling or something... like for my boyfriends band they wrote about one of their ex's mistreating them and stuff...

I think that you should try your best to write things down like your feelings its the best way to relive your anger and stress!! If you want to ask one of your friends if he or she will help you write songs and you can do the music (guitar) Part!!

**I love the guitar too! What I do to make up songs is I'll usually just thing about what I want the lyrics to be and while I'm doing that I'll start messing around with my guitar and experiencing with different notes... and usually something comes to me. Actually now that I've been writing songs it's like everywhere I go some new tune or chorus is going through my head and I have to write it down somewhere. Things will come to you sooner or later. You can also try to listen to other songs and get ideas of tunes ((but not stealing them =c) )) and that might work. Leave one in my inbox if you have any questions or need any more help!**

just take problems from your life, and vent them into words and music. it'll come to you, it really helps(it's like writing in a diary, but sound good)

you should get some ideas from the things around you not like a seat or a table like life or love something like that or listen to some songs and get some ideas from the songs

to come up with lyrics, think of a time or mood and just let your words flow out about it, lyrics arent a skill- they're more of a talent. there is no 'right way' to write lyrics but to reach inside of you and come up with something original. remember to have a chorus in your lyrics that are repeated and keep practicing your lyrics [once you come up with them] and see what words you want to change and such. im sure if you are good at the guitar you can also start to be really good at writing lyrics as well! have fun and good luck with it all =] -ask_anything

Has anything happened in your life that you just wanna scream about? Something that's bottled up inside and you need to let it out? Or maybe just something that's happened to someone you know? Just a extremely vivid feeling will work too, you can write a song about ANYTHING! hope i helped!

I write songs.. and honestly i have to have some sort of inspiration before i can write.. i think you should just wait until that inspiration comes.. when it come's u'll know it and just have a composition notebook handy at all times and whenever you feel like you got a good line write it down.. hope i helped and good luck
