There's this friend of mine, and we're kind of drifting apart. A few months ago we used to be really close and what not, but a lot of things have happened and we just aren't connecting anymore. Please help me see how I can be better friends with them again. Thanks!

MerceaFromPoetry answered Friday August 20 2004, 11:04 pm: Try figuring out what made you drift apart, most likely there was an issue or event that you cna pinpoint. Possibly because it summer and you don't see each other anymore or maybe there was an unresolved fight. Think hard and try to figure out why. If you know why, then fix that problem, resolve the issue. If it's the school thing than just wait for a few more weeks and your school based relationship can be revived. If you don't know the problem then simply try talking with the person, make conversation, get together more, plan things and then invite them. Make it easy on them and theyll be mroe likely to try and get back together with you as friends. I hate to say this, but if school doesnt bring you closer and talking doesnt either, then maybe you shoudl consider whether the realtionship is worth saving. Hope I helped.
(oh also, you could just try talking to them about it but i figured you meant other than that.) [ MerceaFromPoetry's advice column | Ask MerceaFromPoetry A Question ]
