i've liked this guy for a while, but he has a gf. when she isn't around he flirts with me! i like him so much, but is he just a player?

Honey, don't bother with this guy. You definetly don't want to go out with him, because all he'll do is flirt with other girls. He's very much a player, so don't chance it.
