jsut talk to him be friends with him first but not best friends jsut friends talk to him this and that and then tell him you like him dont be scared cause we all know guys dont catch on real quick - haha - so jsut tell him

right him a note or and e-mail, or just be like "i know you are ____(your ex) best friend, but i really like you. I was hoping you feel the same way. Im over _____ and i cnt belive i ever liked him when your much more caring" something like that or just call him up and be like "hey, i like you and was wondering if we could do something sometime". Write him a letter. That's what I did. It made the ex-boyfriend really mad, but hey, look at it this way, it's his loss, your gain. He's the one who hurt you and mistreated you. He had his chance and lost it.

wow, well he might not like you after he saw what you did to his friend so im not sure there is a good way. You could just straight up tell him and see what his reaction is but dating ex's best friends is never a good idea. good luck
