Uploading pics


Question Posted Monday August 16 2004, 2:20 pm

Everytime I try to upload a pic of me to my colum.. it tells me it is more than 15K so it couldnt be uploaded. How can i tell if the pic is 15K or not?

PS.. i use Paint or Photoshop for my pics

put your mouse over the picture when your about to click it (dont clik it tho) and it will say (thats how it is for my comp)

How do you tell?? Uhm.. I have no idea! HoweveR, I *CAN* tell you how to make it smalleR!! Simply copy and paste the pictuRe to Window's basic Paint PRogRam.. then go to IMAGE, STRETCH/SKEW ... then type in the appRopRiate peRcentage - gRadually decReasing each time. TRy this a few times, so you don't make the pictuRe smalleR than it HAS to be!! Goodluck!! Hope I helped!! =D

Ctrl + Shift + Alt + S in Photoshop to select "Save for Web". Mess with the "Quality" slider in the jpeg section until the file size is under 15kb.

If the image is too big size-wise, choose Image -> Image Size to reduce it.

make your picture smaller and then reupload it and make sure its saved as .jpg or .gif

When you save it in paint or photoshop go to "my pictures" and then right click on the picture and choose properties and it tells you
