a friend, well kind of
Hi i'm in 8th grade and am decideding if my friend is a good friend or not. So i have this friend whos bf broke up w/her a long time ago and shes still not over him, she says she is but she isn't and we all know it and she just gets mad when we bring it up. And she also gets really mad if i hang out with anyone but her, i think its dumb she has other friends y can't i, and she tells people things about me that aren't true, like she told a boy i liked him when i clearly did not. She lies all the time and i jus don't know what to do.

Are you sure she actually lies all the time? And that she is really saying stuff about you? Talk to her about it. Seriously, that is not good. Im sure she doesn't get mad when you hang out with other people, maybe jelous. Or maybe she feel neglected, like are u telling her that you will hang out with her, but end up hanging out with someone else? And are you not telling her everything. People get really upset when that happens. Just talk to her about it tho!
