help!! i'm a vegetarian, and i have been for quite a while now, but the problem is, i can't tell my parents. a couple of years ago, when i was 13 or so, i tried this, and they refused to let me not eat meat. now i just avoid all meat, i'll either say i'm not hungry or eat around the meat around my parents. i strongly disbelieve in eating animals, and i just can't bring myself to do it. please help me work out a way to let my parents know, without a fear of being scoffed at or punished, and let them know that i don't believe in eating meat. thanks!

hey...
sorry for answering soo late, i`ve been on vacation for over a week now... you should tell your parents... dont tell them in a way that sounds like meat is bad all together, dont try to convince them to be vegetarians as well, but tell them that it doesnt make YOU feel comfortable to eat meat, explain to them that nothing can really stop you from not eating meat, and if they try to punish you for it.. all i can say is "parents will be parents" they can do whatever they want about it, maybe you should tell them individually... not at dinner tho, just like at the store be like "mom, i dont really eat meat that much anymore..." and if she gets mad then just tell her that you've been doing it for a while, and if you eat meat after not eating it for so long, you can get sick from it [[no joke]] hope i helped and i hope i wasnt too late..
