help!!
hey i have a boyfriend and we're really close, at first we were like best friends i would say cuz we have so much in common but we decided we like eachother more than friends. we've been goin together for 8 months now and now i'm seein that i like him better as my best friend but i don't know how to tell him b/c i kno he loves me and will probly always like me more than a friend. can u help me??

This is a tough situation to be in. I want you to know that since you started a relationship with a close friend, ending it could and probably will damage the friendship you had with him before you guys started going out. However, there might be hope for a friendship yet because depending on the guy, he might totatally understand. I think that you can tell him something like this. Say "We've been together a long time and it's been going really well. Before I got together with you, you were like my best friend. As much as I love you, I don't want to damage the friendship we had before our relationship. I would love it if this would work out, but I'm starting to realize I need you more as a friend than a boyfriend." See what he says and explain to him that you will still always love him and you will always be there for him when he needs you. Tell him it's breaking your heart to have to do this because you care about him too much, and you don't know what you would do if something bad went wrong in your relationship further down the road. If you say that he might honestly believe that your intentions for wanting to end your relationship are reasonable, instead of just saying it like "ok well you know I don't like you as a boyfriend after 8 months I like you as a friend more." Tell him that it is more important for you to have him in your life as a friend, than as boyfriend.
