Question Posted Sunday August 8 2004, 6:14 pm

ok so i liked one of my guy friends for like 6 months (since sweetheart) and finally when we were on a plane trip back from canada he asked me out. ofcourse i said yes and was extremely psyched. well, when i got home, my mom told me i wasn't allowed to date until i turned 16. so, i am 15 and i don't know what to do. it is another 6 months until i turn 16 and me and him have already made out and done a little more. so i don't know what to do. should i just hide our relationship from my mom? she knows we are friends, but should i wait until i turn 16 to tell her we are more than friends. and just pretend like he asked me out the day after i turned 16? please help!

I think that you should respect your mom's wishes. But this is kind of a don't ask, don't tell situation. If she ask's you if you are dating this guy you need to tell her the truth. But as long as she doesn't ask anything. Then what she doesn't know won't hurt her. This is a alternate route instead of lying because that will jsut get you into more trouble. Hope I helped!
