Question Posted Thursday August 5 2004, 11:53 pm

hey umm...yeah I dated this girl and we broke up but afterwards we became friends really close friends the greatest of...i mean we were everywhere together...people thought we still went out, or i was stalking her...well anyways she's dating this guy, i don't know...they seem to doing good i hope that works out...I love her and she loves me but only as friends...well i scared her last night because i snapped at her nothing pysichal just you know, verbal, it was only a sentence but she saw my eyes and it was bad...i never wanted to scare her or hurt her in anyway but she's afraid of me and frankly i don't blame her we are patching things up but it's going to take a long time before she trusts me and won't be afraid....my question is this...how long do you think it's going to take? because this is horrible...thanks...(GL) ~H. Jordan

Well H. Jordan, trust is funny thing its hard to earn, easy to break, and once its broken it takes a long time to get it back. I'd be patient if I were you, let her know that you really feel bad about snapping at her. Constantly remind her even. I'd also send her some apology flowers. You are a gentleman after all. I'd say it will take about a month, maybe two before you're back to that level of trust, it may even be longer depending on what kind of person she is. Thanks for writing, I hope it works out for you.
