Since the last time I was at the gyno my boyfriend and I had sex. I cant tell my doctor if I go back because she'll take tests for STD's and birth control, then my mom will know. Should I not tell the dr and get birth control from a friend or should I tell her and make up a reason for the birth control? I'm so scared my mom will find out, she'll kill me :-/ Thank you soo much for the advice!

I think the first thing you need to do is see your gyno in person; once you're in the same riim with her, ask her point blank if things you tell her are confidential. Not only will you get an honest answer, but your mind will be settled.
Getting birth control from a friend is dangerous. The 'pill' sounds like there is only one type of medication, but in reality there are as many different types of pill as there are women. Only your doctor can help you figure out which type and dosage is right for you.
Also - remember that the pill does not protect against STDs. The safest sex to be having would be using the pill AND condoms.
Another thing to consider is how you will pay to get your proscription filled. Your doctor should be able to give you free sample packs, let you know how much they are if you want to pay in cash, or point you in the direction of clinics which offer sliding payment scales.

You can always tell your Gyno, not to tell your mother about the results. The gyno can't tell your mother, unless your mother - herself wants them. Or you can visit by yourself? Anyway, if your that needy to get birth control, you should get from a friend (since it's safer than nothing) or you can go to the gyno, but tell her it's for your irregular period.

Aside from going to Planned Parenthood (which is a good idea as far as the whole STD issue is concerned) You can tell your doctor that your periods are irregular, most OB/GYN's will prescribe birth control as a way to regulate your period and that is exactly how you can explain it to your mother. To help protect yourself further you should also always use a condom.

well in most states its not legal for your doctor to tell your mom something like that so you would probably be okay and you probably should be tested for stds if your having sex and if you dont wanna get pregnant you prolly should use birth control so i would tell my gyno but if your to scared to just make sure you always use a condom or tell your gyno that you have really bad, irregular periods and she might give you a prescription but i would definatly not use a friends birthcontrol because that could end up backfireing really bad for both of yall

go to a free clinic or a planned parent hood. they give birth control and test for stds and hiv for free to minors and they are confidential. you wont have to tell your mom anything if you do it that way.

im pretty sure its illegal for ur doctor to tel ur mom and u should really tell the dr. jus in case! dont worry about it too much im sure ur dr is used to this stuf i mean she sees patients ur age everyday! shes probly quite accustomed to it! dont sweat it everythins gunna b fine! hope o helped a lil...

Well this is difficult but its better to tell ur doc and let her take the tests to make sure u are ok, and plus maybe it will ease your moms mind that u are fine and on "the pill" and that she knows u are sexually active, u really might wanna consider letting someone know but not your friends, DONT ask ur friends for birth control u never know wat will get out about u. So yes u need to tell that way u wont put yourself and your health at risk. yes there is suppose to be a patient confidentiality law, u should ask.

hes not aloud to tell your mother your sexual life unless its dangerouse. so as long as you can pay or somthing she cant find out, take the chance, shed definatly find out your having sex when your 200 pounds and pregnant
