A moderator is someone who helps moderate, well in basic terms. They help update a website. As in www.iconator.com; if you are a member there, when you are moderating, you help choose which icons are submitted.

A moderator is someone who can rate the questions, you have a little more freedom I guess, level II moderators, and the level III one, have more control than the others.
Go to your HELP section... it'll tell you all you want to know.

A moderator is a person who has answered at least 50 questions and has a rating of 4 or higher. A moderator helps out the site by rating questions.
