My boyfriend VS my family
Hey, my family hates my boyfriend because he's gothic. I like him alot and he likes me and I really don't want to break up with him. My mom wont let me call him, e-mail him, or do anything to communicate. Plus he's going to high school and I'm only in 7th grade. What should I do?

hey. im sure that ur family doesnt like ur bf basically cause of the way he looks. am i rite? but see they probably dont no ne thing about ur bf and that is y they dont like him. i mean ppl think that like goths and punks r like bad ppl or something. but u and i no that they r the coolest ppl. ur parents r just being parents really. but i think that they would warm up to him and let u see him more if only they new him a little better. so i would ask one of ur parents (if u r closer to ur mom ask her if not then ask ur dad) if u could like invite him over or something that involves ur parents meeting him. and let them see that he is a great guy and that they always told u "dont judge a book by the cover" so tell them that they need to take there own advice. hope everything works out with u 2.
