How come you cant go out with him?? Thats gunna be the first question anyone thinks of... especially the guy you told you would. If theres a personal reason why you cant, when he asks you out tell him that because of personal reasons you cant right now. Maybe in the future you can. Be completely honest to him, it might hurt his feelings if he really likes you but he'll eventually get over it. Good luck!!
