my dad was just diagnosed w/ lung cancer and i am totally freaking out. im only 14 and the doctors said he only has 3 months to live!! i want to talk to him about it but everytime he tries to bring it up i change the subject. wat should i do???? =(

Rachel this is a very difficult situation you're in. My grandma had the same sort of thing happen a couple years ago. What you have to realize is that even though your dad may live beyond the doctors' guesses, he will have a shorter life than previously thought. I think you should talk with him about it and the both of you should discuss emotions 1 on 1. Spend as much time as you possibly can with your dad. Give up a few fun weekends with your friends and make your dad's remaining time worthwhile. I hope this helps. Best Wishes, Matt.
