See, theres this kid, lets call him Jordan (not his real name). He goes to my Middle Skool and is in alot of my classes (well he was, its SUMMER) I even have his phone number on my class list!! Hes like almost a foot shorter than me, but hes really cute. I like him alot and miss him over summer. Im not really skinny either, so if I asked him out its like 96% chance of a refusal. He hardly knows wo I am. A girl told me he hates me. (he doesnt know me so thats prolly a lie) What should I do? How can I get him to like me? How can I see him over Summer?

Amanda answered Sunday June 13 2004, 6:38 pm: Does he have a screenname? Talking online is a hell of a lot easier than attempting to talk over the phone. Develop a friendship with him first; get to know him better and allow him to get to know you better. Also, don't assume that just because you're not some poster child for anorexia means he's not going to like you. You never know, he may think you're gorgeous just the way you are :) [ Amanda's advice column | Ask Amanda A Question ]
blonde answered Saturday June 12 2004, 3:24 pm: I have actually had a similar thing happen to me once. I really liked this amazingly gorgeous guy, but I just recieved my braces and was very self-concious about the way I looked. I thought for sure there was no way he would ever agree to hanging out with me. But despite the fact that I thought there was no chance, I asked him to hang out. What I suggest is start with a group outing. Invite a couple of your friends and "Jordan" along. That way, if he isn't the guy you thought he was, your girl is right there with you. If you hit it off, then you can ask him to hang out alone sometime! Let me know how this goes! Email me at blond4life18@aol.com Good luck! [ blonde's advice column | Ask blonde A Question ]
