duzzie19 answered Tuesday May 11 2004, 8:59 pm:
An erection, which a boy at his age should know, is a perfectly normal part of puberty. It is when the boy's reproductory system is readying itself by stiffening to ejaculate some semen. This usually happens after he has been sexually stimulated but it can happen as just a part of growing up. He should not be at all embarassed, but also consoled to know that his embarassment causes a neuronic reaction which will cause the normality to be restored. If you wish to help him, coach him and tell him it is perfectly normal, and that some boys are even proud of their erections. For more on what an erection is or the male reproductive organ assemblance, just contact me;)
