Friends talking about guys I like... practically in front of
Question Posted Wednesday July 16 2008, 12:46 pm
I'm walking down the hallway on the way out of a small after school function where a guy I liked was present with one of my best friends. While we are walking, she starts talking (not quitely, mind you) about how weird I get around the guys I like and remember that one time...? I tell her to hush, and she laughs loudly and informs me that no one can hear us. The hall is quiet and a handful of people from the function are walking behind us! Ack! Another scenario: friend and I are in a school room when "the guy" and some others come in to talk to the teacher across the small room. "The guy" talks. My friend comments that indeed he has a deep voice. Again, ack! She laughs a little and tells me that they wouldn't know what we were talking about anyway. It's embarrassing, especially since if these guys knew I liked them they'd laugh their heads off. I never, ever do this to anyone who confides in me! Why can't my best friends understand that I would rather not talk about the guy I like in front of him or anyone who is his friend?!
