I knew people who were "goths" early on. For them, it meant something.
But now it is just "trendy" to be 'punk' or 'goth' because lame-ass stores like "Hot Topic" and whatnot sell lots of black shit. Brilliant.
Not being born in the 70s is no excuse for not understanding what the punks were all about. People who "dress" like them, without understanding the history, are only insulting the people who started the movement.
