speech... Please Advise

I am 13/F. Right now we are doing speeches and I have a problem. Ever since grade 4 (im in grade 8 now) ive have gotten to the gym and won 2nd place every year. This is my last year for speeches and I have been working really hard. In the previous years I had no trouble at all presenting my speech because I am very comfortable talking infont of an audience. Right now we are doing them in class but she is going to pick the people to go to the gym. She has already picked 1 and only 2 from each class may go. I have worked for weeks on my speech and it's really important to me but I have a problem. This year I have gotten more "giggley" and become close friends with the guys in our class. Recently i've been envying other people who have like these really cool names. I've been trying to think of what i could do with my name (my name's Donna). But i can't think of anything to do with my name. People normally call me Donz, but i've been called that for ages and i just want something else that people could call me by.
Any1 got any ideas??

someone posted "you fail at life" as a youtube comment to a video of my funny math teacher dancing. its really dumb of them because it really was funny and hes a cool teacher.. most people dont think negatively of him, really.. well kids for that matter, lol. how can i respond to this? should i say "no you fail" or "you know what? your mom" or anything else that will tell this kid off? lol thanks

so i might be starting a job in a few months and its my first job ever haha but im scared i might fall asleep on the job. see i have this thing and everytime i get home from school i feel like just passing out which is weird because i get plenty of sleep during the night. is there anything i can do besides drink energy drinks,sodas,or coffee to keep me up throughout the day and not make me sleepy? thanks in advance

My best friend (a guy, 16) I'm 16/f told me today that he USED to like me alot alot and was going to ask me out even, but then decided he just wanted to be friends. I'm not sure why, would anyone know? I didn't ask, but I'm guessing it's because he didn't want to ruin our frienship. Second question, I like him alot alot now. Hahaha, I don't want to tell him cause he seems set on wanting to be friends, but how can I get over this? It really hurts to know he didn't ask me out, cause I think I'd be much happier. ANy suggestions?

my friend got bored today during class and peirced her belly button w. a safety pin.... she went to the mall and got a bely button ring.. but she doesn't know how long to wait till she transfers the ring in! she is staying the night at my house and doesn't have 1 of these things sooo please lemme know asap!

I have Windows XP, and in my photography class at school we have iMacs. I really like the operating system a lot more than XP, and I want to know if there are any things that I can download to make it more similar, like the dock.

Bat Mitzva dress

My friend is having a Bat Mitzva[sp?] & so I decided to go to the mall & get a dress. After I bought the dress, I found out that a lot of people bought their dress form the same place. It would be embarrassing to have the same dress as someone....what do I do?
