My parents don't buy me anything. I sound like a spoiled brat, I know, and I should be grateful for what I have but i'm truthfully not. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, it's just that i'm sad. For Christmas last year I got a phone which I really did not expect! It was really a suprise and the first decent present in years. My sister walked miles just for it and I thank her for that. 2 years ago my Christmas present was deodorant and hair gel (My hair is very, VERY short). The same year for my birthday I got deoderantt, once again.
I know it sounds funny and all but i'm really serious. Three years ago I got MORE deodorant. I'm starting to get a feeling my parent is trying to insult me or something.
In my family we have one computer and a laptop. The laptop is my sisters (only for educational purposes) and she has 2 tablets but generously gave one to me. My dad is an administrator, but not me. I use it the most yet i'm not an admin. I have to play childish games which don't need to be installed. Just before I wrote this I was playing flash games. If I asked my dad for the password he would get angry and refuse and that would really bug me. I'm a gamer. So I get angry a lot . sorry have to go.
I cannot explain why your parents buy you the gifts they do. The one thought I have, at least for Christmas is the deodorant is their version of coal in you stocking.
Think about the difference between this past Christmas and the preceding year and the Christmas before that and that preceding yea. What were the differences. To receive a cell phone instead of deodorant must mean something as the cell phone is an expensive gift. What changed in your life? Are you doing better in school? Really compare the two years and you may find your answer.
Other than that I really can't give you any other answer. As the saying goes; "You can pick your friends but not your relatives" Your parents are who they are and they are not going to change.

I mean some families even struggle to put food on the table. I think if you're unhappy you should get a job and get stuff you want.
