"Roaring 20's" My school is having Roaring 20's day. The girls have to dress up like flappers. The thing is, I don't know what to wear, or where to get my costume! Any body have any suggestions on where I can get the right clothing that's appropriate for the time era, or give me some idea as to what I should get? Thanks!

Vintage and thrift shops are a good place to start, so you aren't spending an arm and a leg for something you're only going to wear once. Feather boas...Long beaded neckclaces, feathers in your hair...Try searching flappers on the web. Do an image search on them. More than likely you can already create half your costume with the stuff you already have. Try costume shops too. ]
Any costume shops in your area? Theater groups? Sometimes they'll rent you costumes for a night for like $20. They'll most likely have flapper costumes. Otherwise, googling "flapper costume" or "costumes" will bring up a ton of sites that sell stuff you can use, from full outfits to wigs. Be warned, though, the realistic costumes are like $30. ]
