Point the mouse cursor at the edge of the bar. It should change from the normal arrow into arrows pointing up and down. (If not, right click the bar and make sure there is no check mark next to "Lock the Taskbar") Drag it down until it is back to the normal size. After that, you might want to lock it so that you won't accidentally resize it again.

Please visit the following web page:

There, look for the "Restore to XP Default" link and right click on it. Choose to save the file to your desktop and once it is downloaded, double click on it. It will restore your taskbar to the default settings.

right click on the task bar. you probably have it unlocked?? if you do you lock it so it doesn't do that next time after you fix it. click on properties & you can customize it, change the start bars, etc. try different things.

-hope that helped!♥
