Question Posted Saturday April 2 2005, 11:09 am

I have a friend who was going out with this one girl. he's 18 and really loved her. they even talked about getting married! Then one night at a party he did a lot of things with another girl at a party, and after that she had sex with someone els. He was so mad that he cheated on his girlfriend with a "slut" and when his girlfriend found out she was puking and screaming. Now my friend wants to kill himself and im scared. Besides going to an adult, how can i help him?

If you DON'T go to an adult and he does kill himself will you be able to the live with knowing you could have helped? Tell an adult, he'll get over it.

well your whole story lost me.. but the killing part, i get. just him. it isn't worth it. its just a relationship. they come and go. nothing that happenes is worth your life. and stuff like that. dont go to an adult.. that makes it worse. when he is ready, he will go get help. all you can do it stay by his side, and help him threw it.
hope i helped

Tell him everybody makes mistakes. Even though he may truely love her he will still be okay if she loses. Millions of people lose loved ones all the time and find another. Convince him there are other things to live for. He obviously has friends that care for him or you wouldn't have posted anything. Good Luck with everything.

Talk to him. Let him know that everyone makes mistakes and it's ok. Remind him how many love him and will miss him if he takes the easy way out. He needs to face his problems and if he really loves this girl then she'll be worth all the problems he's going to have to deal with. Just let him know he's loved.

Best Wishes!

Tell him that everyone makes mistakes in there life and it cant be helped sometimes. Just tell him that what would happen if he killed himself there would be more sadness than there is now.
That his family will have to pick up the pieces, Just be there for him when he needs you.
