13/f/8th grade. okay from when i was about 7 to about a year ago, i was a complete tomboy. the only way you could get a dress on my was if i was dead. and guys werent looked at as guys, they were my friends, and sports teammates. now i have changed, but i still play all my same sports. but the people at school and my friends have gotten so used to me as a tomboy that they make fun od me every time they see me in anything girly-ish. and the guys that i grew up playing sports dont see me as a girl really, they see me as a teammate, and it seems like they could never see me as girlfriend material. i met my boyfriend at camp last year. he asked me out last year, and i said no, and he asked me out this year again, and i didnt want to say yes, but i felt obligated to. he is my first boyfriend and i didnt tell my parents. (dont tell me to tell my parents, becaus eim not going to). ive only told like 3 of my friends about him. but the problem is that i dont like him in "that way". i want to break up with him, but i still want to be friends with him and i dont want to hurt his feelings. what do i do? well, you shouldn't have said yes the second time, cause now you screwed up. you need to tell him, even if it hurts. it's mean to lead him on, even if your not meaning to.

15 M - i know this sounds like a stupid question about the sound of my voice but still here we go anyway ... i love to play my guitar i play things like jack johnson (if you have heard him you will know how much of an awesome singer he is) i can play gone going and sing at the same time the thing is i hae my voice i can hit the notes i just hate the sound to me it sounds k when ime singin and playing but as soon as i ercord to my pc is doesnt sound nice at all i am starting to think is, is it that age old story about you sound good in your mind untill you record yourself and play it back and you sound shit any tips on makeing my voice sound better??? yah, to add on what other peopel said, find what works for you. i can't hit high notes for crap, so i sing a key lower. what works if if when u sing a song, dont try to copy a singer, cause then you wont know what works best for your voice. hope i helped :)

To start everything off, I'll say that I'm 16 and my friends mean the world to me. And to lose the people that I've grown up with is something I don't know how to deal with... We have a click around my neighborhood that was us 4 or 5 girls and a couple boys. Back in May I went away for the weekend and came back to find that my best friend of 7 years was getting really close with this other 2-faced, drama loving girl from our neighborhood. While I don't have a problem with it, they decided that since I talked to her ex boyfriend they were both going to be mad at me. Even when me and him were ONLY friends for years before they even dated. I tried 5 times during the summer to apoligize and see what I did so wrong to my bff, but neither would tell me. So I hung out with the other 2 girls in the area. One of them is always up my ex best friend's rear end and started ditching me for her. To make a long story short, she was then mad at me for nothing other than she wanted to hang out with her more. The last girl is caught in between and I'm not the type to make her choose. I have other friends but these are the girls that were everything to me. What do I do after they've even gone so far as to scream names at me down the street to look cool in front of the new boys that they hang out with? And what they said was the only thing that they knew for a fact would hurt the worst? Do I try to be nice with them, even during the classes we have together? (link)

well, right now i think that they are acting extreamly imiture. if they arnt willing to tell you what you did, then maybe they injoy beign mad at you. they dont seem liek the best of friends, but i wouldn't know. try to forget it for a little while, hang with soem other people, see if they coem back to you. what u shouldn't do is sink down to their level, no matter how tempting. hope i helped. :)

well, organization is the key. as obviouse as it is, it helps imensily. im havign the same problem this year. im usually a great grade kid. take more time to studdy for quizzes in the classes that you know you dont hav ethe best grade in. maybe even talk to your teachers about how you need soem help. idk, whatever works. hope i helped :)

Alright. Well, I sit with my one friend at lunch and basically only know a couple of people at his table. My problem is is that there is guy that sits there too, and he's really nice, but the problem is is that he is really quiet. I try to talk to him, and he kind of talks to me but I really have no idea what to do. I've never had a boyfriend or anything like that, unlike ALL of my friends and I have no ideas what to do. well, keep talkign to him. if he's shy, he probibly wont start a convo. with you. once you think he's interested, ask him if he wants to hang out after school soem time? like, go to a local coffie shop or something, arcade, mall, whatever. this might take more tiem than usual cause he's shy. hoipe i helped. :)

I am very confused about religion. My family is Christian and believe in God, but aren't too religious. I was never told to believe in anything.
I believe in God. BUT I also believe in Karma. Is there any sort of name or religion for that? they are two different beliefs and religions, but I believe in both.

well, i believe in carma too, but i dont think that that is religous at all. you can hav eboth beliefs. just remember, believe in what you want, not what others want you to believe in.

hi im a 15 year old guy and i like this frosh girl..im a sophmore...i told her the other day how i feel but theres 1 problem she has a boyfriend...i told her and she said she really cared for her boyfriend and that since we just met this year and we dont really know each other that well she never really thought about it and just sees us as friends...this was wednesday night..we havent talked at all in geometry ebcause i thought itd be best to let her come to me not about the situation just to talk in general...so my question is should i talk to her on monday in school or this weekend online if i intiate the conversation or let her initiate the conversation when shes ready? thanks so much in advance (link)

well, it may have freaked her out that you asked her, just 'cause she wasn't expecting it. i'd say wait a little while, then ingage her in a simple conversation. you seem like a person who knows when not to push. you'll do just fine. :) hope i helped.

My boyfriend broke up with me after just two weeks and it was all the sudden. On Monday and Tuesday we were still a happy couple, but all the sudden on Wednesday afternoon he said we were over. I can't figure out why. There are rumors that he is likes one of my best friends. And she likes him... A LOT. It's killing me because I love him and I can't just all the sudden stop liking him. It seriously isn't puppy love because it feels different-better than anything. I love being around him but if I even look at him my eyes will tear up and I'll cry. So the next morning my friend that I was telling about earlier asked me if I was still friends with him and I said no. Was I right to say no? No I cry everytime I think about him. If I would have said yes then maybe we might eventually go back out, but I am not sure if I really want that. I don't know how to feel. What should I do? (link)

well, if you think your up to it, try talkign to him. just friendly, not pushing your feeligns, much. if your goign to cry though, dont make yourself talk to him. maybe he will pass in time, i know mine did. but, what i dont wan tyou to do is try and make your friend and him go out. hope i helped :)
ps: you could always start the convo like "so, what was that about on wednesday? i was so surprised" and act cool about it. you have the right to know exactly what happened.

Is it weird to wear black shoes with a dark blue dress? I have these really cute black heels that I want to wear to homecoming because they make me taller (my date is over a foot taller than me) but I found this cute knee-length blue dress that I want to wear. I am a 20 year old guy, who just happens to really like a girl who will be 17 in three months time.
i do beleive she likes me, but when I try to ask if she would like to do something, her parents always seem to have reasons why not. When I ask her about things, she seems to genuinly intrested, but can't. Am I better off to ingore these feelings, and move on, or is this worht pursuing? (link)

yah. i love ddr, and when you play it, i knwo thatthe colors of the arrows differ, but they are usually a sorta blue color i think. usually the first ones to eb an off color on the screen. sorry i can thelp better, i just play it. hey, where are u from? im from maine, but where else is ddr popular?

im in a bit of a pickle. ive been with my boyfriend for 2 months now and i love him to death. well, last year i met this guy and we became friends. not close friends or anything, just friends. one day he asked if i liked him [random.. esp. since i had a different boyfriend at the time. and me and this guy dont talk a whole lot and ive never had feelings like that towards him at all]. anyway, i jus started talkin to him again this year a couple times. well tonight he called me and ended up talkin to me for an hour and a half and he asked me to the movies this weekend. ok would that seem like a date?? i dont kno if i should go or not because idk if he thinks its a date or not but if he does i dont want to hurt him since he doesnt kno i have a boyfriend. and then how would that look to my boyfriend? i would never cheat on him ever ever ever and im crazy about him. he doesnt kno about that guy invitin me so should i tell him? because i dont want to tell him and cause trouble but then again i dont want to not tell him then him later find out and think i was tryin to hide it. hes not really the jealous type but on the other hand i am and if he were to go to the movies or somewhere with another girl id get rlly jealous and be pretty upset/worried! so i dont kno what to do and i dont want anyone to make a mountain out of a molehill about this yanno? i mean should i even go? ugh someone help me please? well, you need to tell this guy thta you have a boy friend. and if he says somethign like "that doesn't matter, me and a few friends are just going." then your fine. if he's dissapointed, then there isn't much you can do about it. still talk to him, dont avoid him. stay "friends". but, rethink it over. if you liek your boyfriend so much, than why are you interested in this guy?

well, if you have logn legs and dont wan tto emphasize that, wear pants or long shorts. for your chest, i'd say that there isn't much you can do, accept wear low cut shirts to show what you do have, or wear tight shirts. plus, since your skinny, you dont have to worry about that littel bulging bumd ion your stomach liek most girls.

i dont even know where too start.
uh, well this all start on the first day of school. i sit down in a seat with my reallllly good friend of 6 years, heather. we have a new bus schedule and it was the first day of highschool, so i was interested in any cute guys. one stop, had this really cute guy named steve on it. i only recongnize him from being on my friends myspaces. so a few days passed and then around wednesday the 13th i added him on myspace and i got his screenname hes a junior, heathers a sophmore, we started talking alot. and i started to like him. the only thing that sucked was that he had a girlfriend, we talked a little over the weekend and he told me to say hey to him on monday. monday finally came and i was sooo excitied, when i got onto the bus i told heather that i had been talking to him and she seemed surprised, because this kid is kind of popular. and so i could tell heather was like jealous that they dont really talk. anyway, me and steve had been talking this whole week and today heather got off at my bus stop, and we were planning on going to the mall. we were sitting in front of the computer and i as usual was talking about steve, and she knows i like him. we were on myspace and we saw that him and his girlfriend brokeup. i was so happy, words couldnt describe. i was talking to him and trying to make him feel better and stuff. heather says "we should tell him to meet us at the mall, i'd probably hook up with him" ....i dont understand how she could say that. and then she kept saying how cute he was. i didnt make the connection that she was starting to like him. after that she left and when we were talking online she said that she decided to go with her friend lilly. i got pissed at that too. so i decided to go with my friend alison, so i posted a myspace bulletin saying oh yay im going with alisonto the mall, and steve i-med me saying oh yay im going to ! lets meet up or something ! i was in suchhh a good mood and then it all fell down. first alison decides to ditch, and go over her friends, then heather callsme asking me if i am coming to the mall, and she also adds that she was sending steve messages back and forth, and she told me to read them, so i go on her myspace and she lied, she reversed everything, like she said that he said that he wanted to hang with her, and on themessages it was backwards. she was the one who wanted to hang with him. anyway so now im home, and im praying that they dont hook up. because that would ruin my life and my friend ship with heather.
this is my question:
do i have a chance ? should i stay liking steve ? and should i still talk to heather ?
if you think i should still like steve.. then do you have any tips for me ?

i totally agree with mystery girlie. i dont know heather, but she it seems liek she's just jeleous. when a person CLEARLY states that they liek soemone, and they tell their friend that they think they have a chance with them, the nice thing would be to help them, or back off the boy. my friends can be liek that too. i have a friend who knows i REALLY liek this guy, and she was hangign all over him when they wern't even dating.. at MY house. i told her it bothered me, but she didn't listen. well, enough about my life. stikll talk to steve, but dont bad mouth ur friend. it will coem back and bite u in the ass if you do. trust me.
