Hey there!
I am a girl 17, single and very happy.
I am in love with changing my hair, I love cutting it and coloring it, I've had my hair every color you can name, well anyways, I had my hair blue and pink and purple about 2 weeks ago, well I had a job interview and I dyed it all this demi permanent black by n'rage well to keep it sweet and short, I hate my hair now, it's too normal, and it's starting to fade into this grey greenish color and my roots are green!! I want my hair colorful again not this green ugly mess, but I know that requires bleaching. I want my hair hotpink again because I loved it. But I've bleached my hair and dyed it so much that my hair is really damaged and dry and I know if I bleach it anymore my hair is going to fall out.
I don't want to cut it off, I cut off my split ends every couple of weeks and I have been doing hot oil treatments about once a week, I also have stopped washing my hair every day and now I wash it every 2-3 days, I use leave in conditioner and air dry my hair but it still isn't showing improvement, I wanted to get it healthy before I did it pink again, but my hair color looks so gross now and I just want it to be light enough and healthy enough. So I have a few questions.
1. What are some efficient low cost products or at home remedies or even just tips to get my hair strong and healthy again, preferably quick.
2. What are some good ways to lighten my hair fast without bleaching or damaging it further.
3. I have short hair it goes to my shoulders and has a lot of layers, I've been trying to avoid using heat on my hair because I don't want to fry it further, but my hair is very thick and likes to stick up which way, it's kind of scene, and if I dry it by air and don't straighten it my hair looks so weird all misshapen and wavy and sticks up everywhere.
Is there anyway to get my hair straight or to look nice without the flat iron?
Thanks a ton! (: (link)

I'm a cosmetologist so I've experimented with every color you can think of. The best thing to do is go to a professional and have them use "Backtracks" by Paul Mitchell. Let the hairdresser know that's the product you want to use in case she doesn't have it so she can pick it up at a beauty supply store for you. I used it on my hair and it came out damage free. It will take a few times to strip the hair but this allows you to go lighter without bleach. After I did it a few times I went back to blond. When your hair is stronger, the best bleach to use is called go blonder by Wella. You will need to go to a professional for this as well. But just as an example when I did this to my hair I went from black to platinum blond with very little damage.

Last night when I was looking at my boyfriend's laptop history for an important link I visited on his laptop, I came across a bunch of porn links.
It somehow threw me off and I felt so insecure.
We've been together for two years now, he's 21, I'm 18. I mean, I know it's normal for guys to watch porn every now and then, and I guessed my boyfriend did so too, maybe once a month.
But after discovering this (by the way, I never snoop on his laptop- we are very open with one another) I told him that it made me feel bad and insecure about myself and I asked him how often he watches it. He told me that every three or four days when he's feeling horny.
This is just bothering me so much and he said he'll stop if it makes me feel bad, but I know that if he needs it, then he probably will watch it anyway and I told him that.
Is it normal for me to be bothered so much about the fact that he watches it twice a week or so, and the fact that it really makes me feel insecure and I just hate the fact that he's sitting there masturbating to some other women.
Overall, our sex life is fantastic, and he assured me that he doesn't watch it because I'm not sexy enough or because he's looking for something else...but I still feel weird.
Or am I being irrational? I need some explanations and comfort here... (link)

I believe it's perfectly normal how you are feeling. I know that I would feel the same way. I don't believe the excuse, "he's a guy so it's okay." is acceptable. If it bothers you, you should be completely honest. You shouldn't have to "deal" with it if it makes you uncomfortable, its not fair to you. Hope this helps.

No, the only way they could know is if you were pregnant or if an STD was detected.

Every time I have to present something in class I get nervous standing in front of everyone. My knees shake and my voice starts trembling and changing. I had to present yesterday and my knees were shaking in front of everyone and my voice was shaking. It was embarrassing. I know most of my classmates, I don't know why I get nervous. I can't just pretend Im presenting to one person either. Sometimes I get so nervous people Laugh at me. I have to present something again on next tuesday, so how can I stop my knees and my voice from shaking? (link)

I had this same issue when I was in school, so bad in fact I'd make myself sick the night before. A lot of the time if you speak to your teacher privately and explain your situation they will let you present it to just them. If that is not a possibility, what helped me a lot was presenting it to a group of my friends before I went into class, that way I could correct any mistakes I made. It also calmed me down a lot cause you can have a good laugh with your friends. Hope this helps, good luck!

I am having trouble dealing with a break up. I love this girl more then anything in the world. And I feel I am . . .I don't know. Not good enough. We were amazing for years. Then out of nowhere she sends me a text saying " I want to break up" I asked why and she said "I don't love you anymore". And it broke my heart and now I am having suicidal thoughts. I can't lose her and she is gone. Can anyone please tell me how to get better? She didn't give any reasons or nothing. She doesn't want anything to do with me anymore. (link)

You sound like a very caring person and to be honest it doesn't sound like this girl gave you the respect you deserve. You say that you have been together for years and yet she breaks up with you over a text? Doesn't that seem strange to you? She didn't even have the decency to talk to you in person? I'm sorry but you don't do that to someone, regardless of the situation.
If she is speaking the truth, people do fall out of love, even if there are no problems in the relationship, you shouldn't think any less of yourself. Whatever her reasoning is, you do deserve an explanation.
I understand the pain you are going through, I'm sure that most everyone goes through it in their life but you must believe that life goes on. Your going to find someone someday who will appreciate you for who you are, the good things, even your flaws.
I hope this helps and good luck!
PS: Not sure if you are a reader but reading a good book is great medicine for a break up. It helps get your mind off problems.

I'm cutting my hair like this tomorrow:
http://www.google.com/search?q=jenny+mccarthy+short+hair&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1282&bih=597
and I've always had a problem with volume and body. I know cutting my hair this short will mean I NEED some sort of volume, otherwise I might as well look like I got a bowl cut.
I've tried Tresemme, and it's not really doing well. I also have a huge round brush, doesn't do the trick either. Neither does blow drying, with all this combined.
Should I get shampoos and conditioners instead for volumizing/body/shine, etc. instead of the mousse I've been using (Tresemme)? (link)

I'm a cosmetologist and I literally have the same issues with my hair! It's thin and pin straight so to get it what I want it to do takes a lot work.
If you want to achieve volume you need to tease your hair, its the only thing that truly works. You can always use products, they don't hurt, but too much is not good. The only volume mousse I like is called Vavoom by Matrix. It is a professional product but it's worth the extra cash.
You can definitely invest in some volume shampoo and conditioner if you want. Pantene has a good one specifically for volume.
So the key is teasing, and if your not sure how to do it properly, look it up on you tube. There are a lot of instructions on how to do it. So try out the Pantene, he Matrix mousse if you can get it and tease away!
Hope this helps
Good luck!

I have 3 two week old kittens, and they are molting alot, so much they are going bald. :( I've had kittens this young before, and they never losed their fur. Their mum sadly died when they were one week old, so we've been feeding them special milk that we got from the pet store? Would this cause them to lose fur? If not, any idead what is? Thanks (link)
|
Awww :( poor things. I don't have any experience with kittens but it sounds to me like maybe they are just too young to be without their mother. I'm not sure if that formula is the best for them to have, it could be causing the fur loss or they may be sick. Have you contacted a vet? If not you should a.s.a.p
Good Luck!

I'm 19 years old male, and I have never even dated anyone. I'm too scared to ask a girl out, or even talk to them. Any advice? (link)
|
You sound like a male version of me 3 years ago. Any advice I can give is what I have learned from my mistakes. The first thing is to start talking to females, yes I know sounds like the most horrifying thing but believe me you will come out alive. The best thing to do is to be confident, talk to them as if you were talking to one of your guy friends. But remember, be respectful and sweet, you can't go wrong with that.
This is something I don't share with most people but I was horrified around my fiance when I first met him, I would get so nervous I would break out in hives and even have bloody noses! So believe me, I know how you feel. But after you get over the nervousness and you really get to know someone that feeling goes away, trust me.
If there is someone you like the best thing to do is just start a normal conversation, become friends with her first and see where it goes from there. If you take anything from this, just don't be afraid. Life is too short to let fear stand in your way, go for it!
Good luck!

So I have had darkish brown hair since forever. For the past two years I have been adding blonde highlights to my hair. There is a lot of them so it makes my hair seem lighter. Lately I have been hating the way it looks with blonde in it. So, I have decided to dye my hair back to its original color. I am wondering how this will affect my hair? i have never "dyed" my hair before, and I was thinking it might make my hair different. So is there any bad side affects that could happen to my hair because of dying it? (link)

I'm a hairdresser so I have experimented with many different colors. The first thing you need to know is that any chemical you put in your hair is going to cause a certain amount of damage, its not something that can be avoided. Its all on how you take care of your hair and also be sure not to color it too often. Wait the appropriate 4 to 6 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows and get a root touch up. Then when the color starts to fade, that's when the rest of the hair can be colored again. What you should do is go to a professional. The last thing you want to do is use any sort of box color or anything to buy off the store shelf. You have a much higher risk of color build up and box color contains metallic dye which can cause irreversible damage and breakage. I strongly suggest to go to a hairdresser, pay the extra money and get it done right!

I remember when this Good Charlotte album was really popular and this was one of my favorite songs on the album...
Emotionless- Good Charlotte
Hey dad
I'm writing to you
not to tell you, that I still hate you
just to ask you
how you feel
and how we fell apart
how this fell apart
are you happy out there in this great wide world?
do you think about your sons?
do you miss your little girl?
when you lay your head down
how do you sleep at night?
do you even wonder if we're all right?
but we're all right
we're all right
[Chorus:]
it's been a long hard road without you by my side
why weren't you there all the nights that we cried
you broke my mother's heart
you broke your children for life
it's not ok,
but we're all right
I remember the days, you were a hero in my eyes
but those are just a long lost memory of mine
I spent so many years learning how to survive
Now, I'm writing just to let you know I'm still alive
the days I spent so cold, so hungry
were full of hate
I was so angry
the scars run deep inside this tattooed body
there's things I'll take, to my grave
but I'm okay
I'm okay
[Chorus:]
it's been a long hard road without you by my side
why weren't you there all the nights that we cried
you broke my mother's heart
you broke your children for life
it's not ok,
but we're all right
I remember the days, you were a hero in my eyes
but those are just a long lost memory of mine
Now, I'm writing just to let you know I'm still alive
yeah, I'm still alive
sometimes
I forgive
yeah and this time
I'll admit
that I miss you, said I miss you
[Chorus:]
it's been a long hard road without you by my side
why weren't you there all the nights that we cried
you broke my mother's heart
you broke your children for life
it's not ok,
but we're all right
I remember the days, you were a hero in my eyes
but those are just a long lost memory of mine
Now, I'm writing just to let you know I'm still alive
and sometimes
I forgive
and this time
I'll admit
that I miss you, I miss you
hey dad
