so i have this really reallly cool friend! i just met her and she is the most helpful person i've ever known! she is so nice and sometimes it makes me feel that i am not doing right by her as a friend... she is a veiled muslim girl and she is quite religious. he fiance is pretty strict too but he likes me so he doesn't mine me being her friend... the other day i was in soooo much life or death trouble and she called him and they both helped me out of it! i mean really out of it so i don't know what to do to repay them! i want to get her something really really thoughtful.. but i don't know what... i don't mind spending cash on it so i don't care if it is a big thing... the problem is i don't know what! i was thinking maybe a nice dinner at a place for the two of them... but i don't know if it is ok for her to go out with him yet... and they don;t seem to me like the type that like going to fancy restaurants.. so i don't want to look like an obnoxious idiot... they are down to earth... what should i do??? Down to Earth people still do like to go to fancy restaurants. I know I do! I don't think you should ask them how you can repay them because they will just tell you nothing, and not to. Why don't you ask her (casually) where her favorite place to go to dinner is? Remember, it's the thought that counts.

So i am thinking about getting the blackberry pearl and i know i already asked a few questions on here before, i have more.
1. Some people i know have complained about whenever you get a text, the screen dosen't light up. is this true? How will i know when i get a text without having to look at my phone every 5 minutes?
2. Is the vibrate very low? Can you feel it in the back pocket of your jeans?
3. Is the trackball hard to use?
4. Does the trackball change colors?
5. Is the phone hard to figure out? Is it hard to find things?
6. Any other comments about the phone??

I have the BlackBerry Curve but I will try to help to the best of my ability.
1. The screen will not light up unless you're getting a phone call. You can set it so that you will either hear a noise or it will vibrate when you get a message.
2. The vibrate isn't low. You will be able to feel it in the back pocket of our jeans.
3. The trackball is very easy to use.
4. I am pretty sure you can set the trackball to several different colors but it will only be 1 color.
5. The phone is set up really nicely. Although, if you haven't had a BlackBerry before it will be hard to get used to considering it's a different set up, but it's very easy to use, you will get used to it.
6. I have had my BlackBerry since May and I absolutely love it. You might want to consider getting the new BlackBerry flip-phone, that's the one I want! :)

I am actually planning on doing community service in Africa this summer through this company. You have to be in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade, though. It's a bit pricey because it's not all community service, it's part adventure/touring. And you're not exactly "roughing it," considering you stay in hotels! :) Let me know if you plan on doing it!!

It was at Lord and Taylor, and the dress is called a "Mary L. Couture." The Mary L. Couture line doesn't have a website, but if you search her you'll find that her other dresses (none of them are the one you saw on Zoey 101) are pretty similar and sold at Cache.
But - if you go to Lord and Taylor's website, you can search by designer and click Mary L. The dress IS NOT SHOWN on the website, but it IS available IN STORES! I am not sure why.
My friend bought the dress around the end of April/beginning of May, so I'm not sure if it is still there. If you search Mary L. Couture you might be able to find the same dress on Ebay! :-)

Okay, look me and my boyfriend are doing pretty good..."i guess" like we haven't argued or anything like that. But anyways! My boyfriend is really sweet and funny, but sometimes he frustrated me. He does this thing where he'll be all over me one day and the next day he will ingore me completely. But he stays ingoreing...sometimes a little and sometimes a lot. But over the summer we would have long night conversations like I love you and I miss you and things like that, and when we would hang out he would love being with me...but now that school has started he really hasn't been himself. Like I said he hangs out with his friends and doesn't pay much attention with me, but there was this one day where I hung out with his family at Chuckie Cheese (his lil sis bday) and he was all over me...its like at school he's different, and when it's just us he's different again...and I hate it..idk what to do with him...but breaking up ISNT an option...cause it not that serious (link)

Just because you aren't arguing doesn't make you two "good." It is "good" when you are happy, or at least content. Don't settle for anything less! If you are unhappy with his up-and-down attitude, you need to tell him. I completely understand why you are upset with his new attitude- because he acted so drastically different earlier in your relationship.. and you liked it better. (I am currently dealing with the same thing with my boyfriend.) The point is, you need to communicate with him. Seriously, communication is key. I've learnt that over the last few weeks. If you want him to pay more attention to you, you need to let him know. You need to tell him how you are feeling. If you are feeling neglected, if you feel like he doesn't care anymore, or if you want more attention- you need to tell him. He probably doesn't realize what he's doing and he's not going to change unless you bring it up. If he does realize it, then you should question why he is with you.
I understand that you don't want to break up- I definitely wouldn't either. But you need to talk to him and figure out how to make things work so that you are happy. If you are not happy, it is not worth it. So definitely try and talk to him, because it is serious! Tell him exactly what you wrote about the summer, how he would tell you he loves you and stuff. It actually makes me laugh how alike our situation is. I told my boyfriend that it's the like little things that make a big difference. And he's been trying to do the cute little things for me, and I notice he's been trying. Don't expect him to radically change immediately, but as long as you see he's putting an effort in, I would keep him around.
If you like it when he's "all over you," then tell him! COMMUNICATE, GIRL!

I'm literally in the EXACT same situation.. My boyfriend and I will be together (on-and-off) for 4 years this November.
The key is communication. I had my boyfriend over, laid down with him and had a "heart-to-heart." Let him know how you feel. Tell him that you don't like to fighting with him and that it's really bothering you, etc. I really got through to my boyfriend and although it's not nearly where it needs to be, I notice he's been trying- which is all that matters. So, I'd suggest speaking to your boyfriend. But don't expect a dramatic change immediately! It takes time. If you two begin to fight after the talk, just remind him- be like I really don't want to fight with you.
It's have been working for me. I hope it works out for you too!

I personally don't go for a boy based on their hobbies, but truthfully, I would prefer a jock/guitarist/drummer. My boyfriend is a "jock" and guitarist.
Although, I don't think magicians are creepy. :-)

im an 18 year old female.
i've never had sex before, and don't plan on it anytime soon because i just haven't found the right guy, the one i love. i was just wondering though. how can people enjoy sex? i hear its a wonderful thing but all i can imagine is me being so worried about getting pregnant that i couldn't even enjoy it. i am currently on birth control (for my period) and have been for about 2 and a half years. i know i am going to make him use a condom, no doubt. i just can't see myself enjoying it though because i will be so worried about getting pregnant. i just wondered how people enjoy it so much, without thinking about getting pregnant the whole time! thanks [: (link)

It's really good to hear that you are going to use a condom even though you're on birth control. You definitely should not be worrying about getting pregnant while you are having sex! It is an intimate time between you and your partner, and it's really important that you're completely comfortable with him and the situation. Sex is sexy and hot, but it's also gross and awkward. Make sure it's with the right guy! You actually won't be able to have sex if you are worried/nervous because you won't be able to get "wet enough."
Regarding getting pregnant, it is truthfully really hard to get pregnant. You just have to use protection, take your birth control on time, and if the condom breaks- then you take the morning after pill. If you carry out the steps necessary to prevent pregnancy (by using condoms and taking birth control) it is REALLY hard to get pregnant.
Don't let the possibility of getting pregnant ruin the intimate moment between you and your partner.
