My name is Ali and i'm 13. i love to help people and i'm pretty good at giving advice, especially in relationship and friend problems. i'll answer every question the best i can and please don't hesitate to ask! can you be in love with someone you're not even going out with? this may sound retarted and corny, but you know that song have you ever by brandy?
the part when it goes"have you ever loved somebody so much it makes you cry. have you ever needed someone so bad you can't sleep at night. have you ever tried to find the words but they dont come out right.have you everr" lol because theres this guy i really reallyyy really like( and its not like we've barely talked before. we were really friendly this year and i think he might like me too) and when i thought about those lyrics i realized all that was true about him to me. am i being stupid or could it possibly be "love-ish"?
and dont give some smart ass advice. im serious.

i'd say you can definiently be in love with someone your not going out. i was in love with my boyfriend before we went out and he loved me too and it worked out perfectly. i actually thought of that song when i loved my bf before we went out and thats exactly how i felt. maybe you should have a friend or someone tell him how you feel. your not being stupid at all.

Okay My names Kristen 17/f...I'm in a relationship with a guy who's father abuses him..the thing is my boyfriend is just letting this go like nothing happens. I'm scared that his father could get more mad and seriously hurt him..I've tried to talk to him about it and tell him how I've felt but he just says to not worry about it. I mean how can I not? I love this guy with all my heart I can't loose him!!! Please I need help please :-(

you should try talking to the police. what his dad is doing is not right and it's serious and if your boyfriend isnt doing it the police would probably be a good idea..

ive known this guy for a while and i recently started to like him. we flirt all the time and it always seems like he likes me. ive gotten various people to ask him, his answer is that he likes me and his x & that hes confused. i kno his x has a boyfriend and that she doesnt like him at all ne more. should i just forget about him i really like him but i dont want to wait foever for him to make up his mind to ask me out.
we did hook up at the movies tho....

i think you should talk to him and tell him to make up his mind so you can start trying to move on if he doesn't make up his mind. this isnt a lot of advice but talking to him or having someone talk to him is probably the best thing you can do.

So this is a LONG story. But ill try to make it really short.
Theres this boy that I have feelings for. We liked eachother a ton a couple months ago, but we never went out, but we were about to until his ex girlfriend came along. I dont want to be mean, but shes really fake and high maintenence, gorgeous, but still just exactly opposite from me, and plays with his mind so much, and he always falls for it.
Now they broke up, and he's back to wanting to go out with me. And hes soo sweet though. He called me played "our song" saying how much he liked me, and did absolutetely everything possible you wish a boy would do for you. But im scared that if we went out he would cheat on me and his ex girlfriend who still drags along would create drama.
I told him exactly how I felt about it all. He said he would take care of it if it happened, but im still really scared that if I went out with him, id get hurt because they would be flirting behind my back. I also wonder if hed really appreciate me if he went out with a girl like that. You know what I mean?
So im not sure if I try to go out with him and see how it goes with the risk of getting hurt? or just back off and see what happens. Im not sure.

i think if he's that crazy about you, he wouldn't let it happen. sometimes you just need to trust in people. this isn't a lot of advice, but i hope it helps

I have always kinda had seld esteem issues, all of my friends are gorgeous and i feel like i am the ugly duckling. You know in movies how their is a group of pretty girls and then they have an ugly friend, and one guy has to "take one for the team" and hang out with her.....i feel like that girl.

Its not that i'm fat, (5'9, 110 pounds) i know i'm not fat, i just never feel pretty.My friends tell me i'm pretty but i feel like that doesnt count because they cant call me ugly, i'm their friend. Any advice to boost my self esteem?

beauty isnt always looks, but personality also. i just got over my bad self esteem by telling myself i'm beautiful, and meaning it. my friends would tell me i'm pretty but i would never believe them i thought that they were just saying that. i just got to realized that i am beautiful, and you should try to also. i'm sure you are pretty you just need to make yourself know that. beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so if you consider yourself pretty, then you'll be so much happier and you should try to get over your imperfections and flaws and focus on all the good things about you

well my boyfriend and i have been going out for 7 months, almost 8 and the relationship has been going fine. . .

i wanted to break up with him before the summer because i usually meet new people. i have this feeling that the longer we stay together, the harder its going to be to break up. i want to do it during school but idk when and how. like, what should i say without making it hurt? i'd perfer to talk to him personally but will he feel better if a friend tells him? and when is a good time to do it?

i had the same problem recently. your right. the sooner the better. you should definiently do it yourself and not have a friend do it. talk to him and tell him why your breaking up with him, and say that you feel it's whats best. its gonna hurt him no matter what you say, but to make it hurt the least tell him how sorry you are and that you just feel like its the right thing to do. if you need anymore help just ask

Okay, So Friday is 8th grade graudation. Evreyone including me is dressing FORMAL ( we have to b ) and i have a pretty dress and so on and so forth. My questin is: how do i do my hair!?? My hair is atleast 6 inches past my shoulders. IO can curl uit or straighten it. PLEASE HELP! give me pictures because my mom mom is great at doing hair too so what i cant do im sure she could. please help and hurray times running out.

i recently had a formal party and i went to get my hair done and i had the same problem: straight or curly? so i went with both. it looked awesome. my hair was straightened and then very loosley curled more to the bottom and i think that would look awesome too!
