hi. my name is Tyler. I am a christian teen. it is hard these days being a christian and a teenager. there are lots of temptations and just other bad things. i made my column for people like me who need biblical advice or just any advice dealing with teenage life. I also made a column to recieve the good advice from others.

With the first black president in office and all this stuff going on, my family started talking about this date.
My family has a very strong spiritual background as Christians, but mine isn't as strong. I have accepted the Lord as my savior, been baptised, yadda yadda, but still. I have doubts about religion. What if it all really DID just start out from dust and particles and stuff?
I'm almost sixteen and I'm worried that IF anything significant should happen on that date, I won't be ready. When the signs show, I'm scared that everyone will be raptured up to heaven and I'll be left behind :[
I lie, I lust, I *ahem* pleasure myself. And I feel TERRIBLE for it. I don't read any of the books on young girls and God that I get for Christmas. They all seem kinda boring. But I don't have the time to read the bible cover to cover, even though God doesn't care. He wants us to MAKE time for him!
I just don't know where to start. HELP!
prayer often helps. and asking the lord for protection will do good. as long as you keep your faith in the lord, he knows that and if you hold him above everything else then he will surely accept you into heaven. God is not someone who looks at all of your faults but he looks deep into your heart and sees all of your greatness and beauty. God sees all of the potential aslo in you. the potential to become something great. Try reading the bible more and singing worship songs. trust me...i am in the same position as you and it is difficult but you just have to look beyond everything and find God. He will understand you. I will pray for you. whatever happens, it is in God's hands.

I just got a bible as a present, it's an NIV version. It's purple and green and soo cute, and I'm feeling...inspired. I really want to start sitting down and studying, reading, whatever you want to call it.
My family has a strong Christian background, but we don't go to church or anything like that.
It's such a big book! So...where do I start?
In the back, there are some lists of versus about Jesus' healings and things like that.
I just don't know where to begin. Some versus in the New Testament are in red. Should I start with those?
Do I even read the whole Bible word for word, in order?! Gahhh! I'm so overwhelmed. Please, help!
congratulations!! the bible is a really great gift. Begin by reading the gospel of Mark or the gospel of John in the New Testament. Then read the book of Acts or Romans. After that read an Old Testament book like Genisis. If you wanna read the entire bible in one year then read three chapters each day, Monday to Saturday, then five chapters on sunday. If you wanna read the bible in two years then read two chapters each day.
Reading the bible is a great way to stay in your spiritual mind. it's a perfect way to keep yourself pure and gives you great advice for everyday problems.

I dont believe in god but i am beginning to believe in angels sometimes i feel something around me and it feels like something good. Can anyone explain this to me. I feel completly alone and then all of the sudden I feel something good there with me. Please give me personal opinions about what i am feeling.
i am a very strong beleiver in God and i beleive that God's holy spirit is trying to move in you and guide you. God works in mysterious ways and he is trying to bring you closer to him. Just go with what he is doing and someday you will find him.
ok im 14 and my boyfriend is 16. he wants to have sex in the family bathroom at the mall but i don't know if i should do it or not. If it helps its the only place that we can atchually meet. Thanks in advance.

your only 16 and you shouldn't have sex until you are in a fully commited relationship. Sex is something that should be enjoyed between a married couple.
Well i really like this one boy (for short i'll call him L) and well i m not the skinny type but i m not super fat or anything like that. We always talk and its super great. Me and him can joke around like (Hey so what are we doing later tonight?) and stuff like that. I really like him and i m not sure that he likes me I really wish he did cause i see him every where what do i do??? Im at the middle school 7th and 8th and a girl duh!
well just ask your friend to ask him. the worst he could say is no.

suicide is not the answer. try to make her jealous, that will work..trust me, im a guy too and ive been in this situation. sweet talk her and if worse comes to worse then try to find another girl.

Hey, so there's this guy I like and we've been out a couple times and we always end up together at parties and stuff, but he goes through phases it seems of always wanting to talk to me- where he texts me like all the time then sometimes he acts like he can't be bothered with me.
I'm just kinda confused with him, he always says he doesn't want a relationship but then he asks me out on dates every so often. Then I don't know if I should go out with him because I really like him and I don't know if he will ever want to be in a relationship and I could end up getting hurt.
Any advice or ideas will help thanks :)
im a guy myself and i admit, im like that. maybe he just wants to get to know you more before you guys actually go out.
