Q: My friend and I were at the mall the other day, and we saw a diamond ring in the toilet. We asked everyone in the bathroom, and this girl said that it was hers and she had accidentally dropped it, but that she didn't want it after it had been in dirty toilet water.
So my friend and I got to talking and we wondered if the more polite thing to do in a situation is to go to a different stall any ways after the person said that, flush it down before you use the toilet, or go ahead like normal? If you choose to get it out after they say they don't want it, is it ok ethically to pawn it and keep the cash for yourself? We also wondered when the ring stops belonging to the person who dropped it, and who if anyone becomes the owner after the person who dropped it.
We couldn't really come up w/ any answers, so I decided to ask you and see what you think...

Well if its a nice ring and there aint nothing else in the toilet, I woulda went for it. Then washed my hands and the ring a billion times lol :)
But it can be akward just letting a dimond sit in the toilet especially if everyone secretly wants it and is too shy to say anything.
but it comes down to two main people, the person who asked if she wanted it and the person who found it.

Q: so i went out with this kid for 4 and a half months, and he broke up with me cause he didnt know if he wanted a girlfriend, and he was moving (he was moving in 3 months), we thought we'd be going out until he moved, and maybe even longer, but before he left i wrote him a letter saying how im glad were still friends, and he told me how breaking up with me was a mistake and everything, but now he kinda likes my friend. and he came back to visit and they are awfully close, and my friends talked to me about it, and i told her i can't control what she does, but i dont know, lately i've felt like giving up on myself because i feel like now that im starting high school im fading as a person, it seems that nothing is going right and i am losing people, nothings ever drama free anymore. i was talking to him for like an hour on IM, and he was telling me how he remembered everything he said to me the day he asked me out, and at the end of the conversation he told me he loved me. Then i just saw him this past weekend and he still had the letter i wrote him in his wallet but i didn't get to talk to him that much, i just felt out of place whenever i'm around people anymore. i hate that feeling of change. I just want the past and i want things back to normal. I want to be happy but i feel like i'm never given a chance

Im sorry you had to go through this, Ive been there, different senario but anyways. If he remembers everything you all said and still has your letter then he really does love you. I dont know him but if he says he likes your bestfriend then he doesnt know what he wants or just wants to see if it would work with her. WOW!! We are twins in diguise!!! I never knew someone else had this problem the conditions are different but yes. I talked to this guy HUGEST CRUSH. I think its weird my BESTFRIENDS brother. wow, its crazy!!! The guy had me rate him. He sent pictures to my phone [[[Clean]] =] and then he got a girlfriend. He doesnt talk to me when he is with her. Im very upset cuz I told him tht and he wont talk to me. But anyways Im not meaning to discourage you but without making his girlfriend mad you should ask him if he likes you or if he is bein nice because if you dont find out you will never know. This is going to sound wierd but I like doing this, and it works 90% of the time. Just "accidently" bump into him, BAM conversation there you go. You may have to push things along at first but then things will flow better. I know old fashioned. but I use it all the time and LOVE meeting the new guys I meet. =]

I think you should ask him. Plain and simple. Leave him little notes. Anything. If you go around asking people he will find out and no matter what you do your relationship is always changing constantly, so theres no use beating around the bush. I had a bestfriend like this and I finally asked him turns out he didnt like me but were still friends. I hope this works out for you!! =]
