Dear Advicenators,
One and a half years ago my brother *Henry* was diagnosed with hemophilia, which means that his blood does not clot normally. If he gets a cut, it's really hard to stop the bleeding. If he loses too much blood, he could die if the blood is not replenished.
Henry and I always liked to spend time together (he's two years older than me). We'd ride bikes to the park and shoot basketball hoops. He couldn't be too active, but he was my best friend and I felt safe around him.
Anyway, he lost a lot of blood one day, and was taken to the doctor for another blood injection. The horrible part was, that the person who had donated that blood was carrying the AIDS virus. The doctor proclaimed that Henry now had AIDS.
Henry is 15 years old, is in diapers, and must be fed through an IV or a tube. He has about 4 months left to live. My entire family is sad, and angry about it. My parents must monitor him all the time, so I always have to get a ride to my volleyball games. All three of us never have extra time, because we are always there for Henry and when he must be hospitalized. I had to drop out of volleyball for him.
Henry has been the butt of the jokes from the kids at school lately. They make fun of the fact that he has been in diapers. They are unaware of the fact that his brain is slowly being devoured, and he can't feed himself. The AIDS is tearing the whole family apart. But luckily, my friends are there to console me, but I always feel resentment towards the cruel kids at school. Can I please have some suggestions on what to do about that?
Anyway, as I am spending my last Christmas with my brother, I have no idea what present to give to him. Could I please have some ideas? I want it to be special and something he'll remember when he goes to Heaven.
Also, how can I comfort / cheer up my parents? They have been having lots of mood swings lately and have been very stressed.

I know you have heard this from tons of people but.that story made me cry =( and i cant answer your questions..but i would say what that one person said...anything you give him he will like! i do like that idea though about the photo album..AND IM SO SORRY!! HENRY IS IN MY PRAYERS!!

well i like this boy right and he's spanish and i have no problem with that b/c he''s really sweet and cute. but all my friends do b/c im like white and we're totally diff and some of my friends are sort of racist. i don't know what to do b/c i rlly like this boy...what should i do

Ok..well being racist is just totally stupid its 2004 almost 2005! i am friends with all races..i mean you dont wanna choose your crush.over your friends.but when you with your friends talk about how he is such a great guy.and race shouldnt matter.and if they were really your friends they would want you to be happy..HOPE I HELPED =)

I really like this boy and he says that he really likes me, however he has a girlfriend and doesn't want to hurt her by dumping her. He is always with me and he tells me that he cares and wants to be with me, but I don't want to get hurt. It hurts me enough to know that he has a girlfriend, I have never loved like this before. Everytime he kisses me I seem to melt. I want him so badly, but what about his gf. he is afraid and so am I? (link)

WTF? w0ah..think about it..BOYS LIE! they say they care about you and everything..you never know he could be turnin around sayin the same thing to another girl.and if he cheats on her what makes you think hes not gonna cheat on you?

I like this guy, hes my friend, and I wanna know if he likes me back. I wanna kind of ask him out, but not REALLY ask him out.. Like i wanna give him hints and see if maybe he will ask me out or something. I'm afraid that if he finds out I like him or if I ask him out and he rejects me, then things will be akward between us and our friendship will be different. And I couldn't stand it if I wasn't able to talk to him afterwards. So how do I ask him out.. or give him hints.. in a VERY subtle way, so that if he doesn't like me, it will seem like I never liked him in the first place? (link)

PROACTIVE! yes you have to order it..but if you want them to go away.and it might take awhile to get there.BUT belive me it works.my friend uses it.:-d

well..maybe this guy is just a BIG flirt.and if he doesnt like you.there is no way you can make him.i mean im sorry that he only likes you as a friend.but maybe in the long run he'll start to like you and relize how much of a GREAT girl you are (i dont know you i dont think but you sound like a great person) sorry babe..HOPE I HELPED!

um..well maybe.i dont know who you are so i dont know what you've been through and everything.so..maybe it is PMS but i dont think thats a excuse for depression..have you had a loss in the family or loss of friends or something? this question is a toughy..sorry..HOPE I HELPED!

ok well...im about 13 & i have this friend (a girl and im a girl too) and she is ok most of the time but when she comes to my house she always gets on AIM without even asking and walks outside to go jump on the trampoline...and i might not even want to go outside! she is fun to talk to but she does whatever she feels..it gets on my nerves. i dont know how to tell her "dont go out there cause thats rude that you didnt ask so go home" i mean like i dont want to b rude i just want her to stop...wat should i do? Ok..first of all..i think that.that guy is a JERK..you cant be with 2 girls at once..thats just wrong.i wouldnt necessarly say back off.i mean they might break up sooner or later.so stick around.and DONT go out with him within the week that they break up.that will cause drama between you and your bestfriend.
