I find the world trade center one more interesting due to everything going on with them from the terrorist attacks. i havent seen a project of them before and i know nothing about them. the cooking one is interesting as well and is unique.

For Christmas I was planning on making my parents a clay bowl in my art class at school and giving it to them as a gift. Now we had a school closure for a few days (due to a storm) and I wasn't able to finish the bowl in time even though I've been working on it for weeks.
All I have to give to my parents on Christmas morning is a set of wine glasses (which I got them last year as well but they all broke).
I don't have a job or any money to buy them something else. What can I do? My friends are all giving their parents tons of gifts and things. I feel like I should have tried harder and gotten them more.
What can I do? And should I feel this way?

There's not much you can do. Just explain to your parents that you would of given them the clay bowl, but due to the storm..
I'm sure your parents will understand and the set of wine glasses should be enough. Just think, better then nothing!
About the clay bowl, you could always just finish it once school starts again and then just give it to them once it's done. I'm sure a couple weeks won't make a difference on when you give it to them.

i'm ordering jeans from abercrombie and fitch and i can't figure out my size. i'm an xs in the a&f clothes and i think i'd be a 0 or a double zero in their jeans. i'm ordering off the website and i can't figure out what the 'L' and the 'R' next to teh sizes are. can anyone help? (link)

Um sorry but no you don't just pick a random spot to insert your tampon.. that last advicenator is wrong.
K so you have 2 holes taht lead off from one. One of them is your pee hole and the other is where you menstrate from. You want to sit on the toilet with your legs apart. Take a deep breath because if your tense it'll make it uncomfortable. Have the tampon at a 45 degree angle and go to the spot. The tampson should just glide in when you push it in lightly because of all the blood, will make it slide in smoother. If it really hurts you know you have the wrong hole, when you use a tampon it shouldn't hurt at all because your vagina stretches. Then, you just push the thing and the tampon should be in. Pull the applicator out and voila. There you have it. Squeeze your pelvic muscles, and if it hurts you know you have it in wrong. You will also know if you done it wrong if the tampon is out of your vagina! You want to make sure it's all the way in and then it wont hurt. If you did it wrong, just pull on the string and take it out and then just do it again! In most tampon packages, there are diagrams and instructions that help. The most important thing about when you are putting in the tampon, is to RELAX. I find it much easier when im relaxed that it will go in better. Good luck.

i am 15 and im really worried about losing hair!
i have been receding for 2 to 1 and a half years now and its starting to get really noticeable. are there any ways to stop this or at least make it slower. i have seen pills and surgery but i only have a teen budget and cant afford these treatments does anyone hae any advice? (link)

You have no worries at all. Hair loss is just part of your body's routine that gets rid of dead hairs so new one's can grow in. I lose so much hair, it's discusting. It's really not noticable and you really have nothing to worry about because your only 15. If it gets worse, it means that you need to get a hair cut. Hope i helped.

Okay, well I'm 14/f and I'm using pads and I hate it since a)it's really noticable to carry around b)it's very annoying c)it's disgusting to take care of.
Well, I want to use tampons. And i have some questions on it(only for people who have used tampons and pads..or just tampons):
1. Is there a chance of it leaking (like frequently so that your undies are stained with blood)
2. How often is there a chance of it getting stuck (like the string used to pull it out snapping before you can pull it out)
3. Is it much cleaner and easier to use than pads?
4. What brand is the best?
Also, I don't know how to tell my mom that I want to use tampons instead of pads.

1. There is a chance of you leaking, but you can prevent that if you wear a tampon that has a higher absorbancy. If your worried about you leaking, just wear a lightday or small pad on your undies so you don't feel so insecure.
2. There's not really any chance of the string breaking or of it getting stuck. Once, I did hear a story about someone going to the hospital because of the tampon getting stuck too high up in her vagina and the doctor had to remove it(not surgically or anything). You just have to be careful you don't forget its there or anything.
3. It's way cleaner. I used to only wear pads but I got tired of sitting in a thing that holds all my blood. So gross. So I use tampons and feel much cleaner with them. However, I do make many trips to the washroom to make sure I'm not leaking because my flow is pretty heavy. It's really a personal prefererence, I prefer tampons for sure.
4. I like Tampax. My mom used them so she just bought me the same ones. It doesnt really matter, tampons are tampons.
Your mom should understand. She has her period too! I'm pretty sure she must've tried tampson too before. Many girls use them so I dont think it should be an awkward conversation. Just be like, "Mom, I'm tired of using pads, they make me feel dirty and unhygenic. Do you think I can try using tampons?". This way, she can pick the right kind and absorbancy level for you and if you have any questions or problems you can talk to her about it!

please readd. i need your help.
My friend, she has a cheerleading competition, on the same day as my halloween party. its like huge like 60 kids. & everything. I can't reschedule it, because its the only day they could do it.
Its our last year at the same school together, so its not like there will be another halloween party.
Anyways, I'm really mad.. that she'd rather go to some stupid cheerleading competition then be at my halloween party with me. is that being selfish? I mean there will be other cheerleading competitions. Right? Wouldnt you be mad, if that happened to you? (link)

You do have a right to be mad because she is your best friend and she should be at your party. But this is a cheerleading competion and you have to understand that if she misses, she's letting her team down, therefore screwing up all their lines and stunting groups.
However, you could ask her about it and see if theres a possibilty of her missing out on this competition and have someone fill in for her.
I would be mad but I was a cheerleader before and it's really hectic when you have someone missing and cant put your stunts up. It is your friends responsibilty to show up at that competition..

k so grinding isnt too hard. all that happens is a guy will come up behind you and place his hands on your hips. he'll start moving side to side or w/e and then you just follow, you'll pick up the ryhytm and you'll just go wiht the flow. its not too hard at all, so good luck and hope i helped :)

these two friends of mine, who both used to be much closer to me than to eachother got really close this summer while i was gone. now when we hang out, its them 2...and then me on the outside. everyone has noticed it because they are both now soo very into each other and dont talk to anyone else. ive kind of given up on jen, because i expected this from her in the first place. shes always put me aside, becoming great friends with someone new, then tossing them aside for someone else, etc. she always needs attention and is always flirting with guys, even if she knows her friends like him or if hes taken. kelsey on the other hand, has always been so kind and funny. weve had great times but for months now we dont hanbg out outside of school. this week however, weve begun to be like old times. maybes its because ive stoped caring about what jen does, or maybe shes come to her senses that jen is not a good friend. whatever it is, we planned for a night this weekend where wed go to the football game then shed come over. her parents are a little strict about her going out lots because shes ALWAYS at jens. i was so excited for this weekend cuz it would be like old times again..when she decided togo the jens on friday night. i thought, maybe her parents will let her come anways. but then i also tho, shell probably invite jen to come too..and then it wont be much fun cuz they wont talk to me. so today when i talked to her she said "heres the plan, we could go to the football game,or to the hockey game with jen and her sister" i told he ri couldnt go to the hockey game and told her sinmce the boy she likes is playing, she should go with jen without me. wont let you go to the ffootball game. after aboit an hour of figuring things out, things werent working. we decided that it wasnt gonna work so i told her to go to the stupid hockey game. I'm so disapointed in her because i feel like once again, she has chosen jen over me. i am 15 yr old girl from canada and speak french and english..this has happend to me so many times with these girls i dont know what to do. umm sorry about what is happening with your friends. hope everything turns out. what i would do is not worry about it because they are obviously not ur friends if they would leave you out like that. maybe talk with your friends and see what they think about the matter as well. not too sure what else to say but good luck.

I'm not sure at the moment. I would call her but she's watching a movie with her mom, haha. I believe it didn't hurt when she woke up because she was still out of it and she was still frozen. I'm getting my wisdom teeth taken out next week, and I am kind of scared, even though I'll be put to sleep. I guess the thought of people ripping out 4 of my teeth freaks me out.
Does anyone have any tips on getting through it, or getting through the soarness afterward? Thanks. (link)

Personally, I never had to go through the experiance of having my wisdom teeth taken out. However, my friend got hers taken out about 3 months ago. She said that when she was woken up from her sleep, she was very drowsy. The next day she couldn't remember anything, except for the part of the nurse telling her to count from 10-1 and then falling asleep. She missed a week of school and she said her face was swollen for several days. It's not a pleasant experiance but the end result is better then having to go through the pain from keeping your wisdom teeth in. Also, she couldn't eat much but used popsicles to put on where her wisdom teeth used to be and that helped relieve with the swelling. Good luck.
