advice
im going to camp center stage tomorrow. (its a singing, dancing, and acting camp.) it lasts for 6 weeks and all of the camp time we work on for performing a show. this year we are doing suessical. so, my question is, what are some good audition songs? we need to have an audition song thats 32 measures or less for auditions. can anyone give me some good ideas?! help! this is all to much -- we have to have it memorized by sometime this week for auditions! :-/ answers asap would be appreciated. ill rate !!! ♥
I would try something fun and upbeat that really shows off your range. Pick a song that can show off your lowest note and most importantly, your highest note. MAke sure you have a good control over your voice. Don't do a song from the show. I'd do something that really shows off ur belty high range. (If you can belt) I'd also sing in your mixed voice. Break a leg!
Does anybody know any ways to learn your lines? like any unique ways or anything?

well, seeing as though I love theater and I've been in many shows. My best method is to read a certain group of lines about 5 times. Then I look up (away from my script) and I recite those lines. If I have problems then I read those lines over and over again and recite them until i get it right. Hope this helps!
