im 18 years old and my boyfriend and i have been together for almost a year and were thinking about having sex.. if we do, do i need to see a gynocologist (sp?). thats what ive heard but i need to know if its really necessary and how i would set it up. and what would happen there if i went?
Dear Not Sure,
Just because you have been with your boyfriend for almost a year does not mean that you have to have sex. Sex should be special. Make sure that you are ready because sex is not something that you can take back. I am 16 and I have already visited a gynocologist. It is recommended that you visit one by your 18th birthday. I am a very modest person so when it came to someone checking me out down there I was a little nervous. You have to understand that the doctor you are meeting see's woman on a regular basis. If you have seen one vagina, you have seen them all. When I went, I got a Pap Smear. That is where they examine the inside of your vagina with a sort of long Quetip. They take a few smears and send it in for testing. You are also given a breast exam, which is not bad at all. The Pap smear was uncomfortable; but not painful and lasted less than 3 min. I recommend going to your regular doctor and getting a refferal to a gynocologist. Your doctor will know the best doctor's in your area. All you have to do from there is call and make an appointment for a check-up. Good luck.

hi,
my girlfriend was late on her period by 2 days and then we had sexual intercourse. she is still late 5 days after we had sexual intercourse what does this mean? im sure the condom did not split and everything went fine but im still worried. was she most fertile then or least could you please tell me?
thanks,
rob
Dear Rob,
There is a chance that your girlfriend might be pregnant. Some girls have irregular periods, expecially after having sex. Sex could either slow it down or kick it up a notch, depends on the girl. Girls are most fertile before their period and after. I would recommend she take a pregnancy test. That way the both of you can know the truth and be more at ease. Good luck.

hi, uhhh its kinda hard to talk about this but, I dont know what to tell my boifriend, I mean he asked me if I was a virgin or not n i keep aboiding the question, you see when I was 13 I was rapped, what should I tell my boifrien? should I lie or tell him the truth, do you think it will effect the relationship?
thanks so much (I rate well!!!) HaLeY
Dear Haley,
If you have not already, you need to tell an adult about what happened to you. I am so sorry. If you are comfortable with your boyfriend than you should tell him the truth. Never lie, it will only get worse if you do. If he loves you than he will understand. Once again, I am so sorry that happened to you. That is one thing that you can never get back and I am sorry you had no choice. Good luck.

Okay I'm 15 and my boyfriend and I have been talking about having sex. Well I have a few questions....
1) I'm not a virgin but I told him I was. The 1st and only guy I had sex with was very small and I was wondering if my (virgin) boyfriend would be able to tell I wasn't.
2) Also...after sex do things change between the two people?
Dear Lier,
I do not think that it is right that you are leading your boyfriend into thinking that you are a virgin. Imagine how upset he will be when he finds out and hopefully when he does, you two have not had sex already. It will be his choice to decide whether or not he wants to have sex with you. What if he wants to lose his virginity to a virgin? I know that might be upsetting, I have been down that road before but it is his life and he deserves the right to know the truth. I made a mistake at not telling my fiance the whole truth about my sexual relations and when he found out, I was lucky that he still wanted to be with me. Please tell him. Once you do, you will feel better about your relationship. If he really cares about you then he will stick around. Remember that sex is not a crime and that it is alright to not be a virgin. You should not look down on yourself for that. You asked whether sex changed people or not. You tell me. Your not a virgin. You would not be here asking that question if you had not had sex, so has it changed you? Good luck.

I am goin to see the love of my life this weekend! im sooo excited! but im not sure how far i should go with him. we have talked about it and we want to wait for things like sex, but im still not sure on how far i should go. i am 14 and he is 16. he means the world to me and i want to show him that! how can i show him that other than sexual activity but still let a little activity take place?
Dear How Far,
If he cares about you as you do him and he respects you than you should not have to prove your love for him. Do whatever you feel comfortable doing. Do not do anything you are going to regret later. Tell him how you feel about sex and if he does not understand than maybe he is not the love of your life. We cannot tell you what you are ready to do, we can not tell you how far you should go. Ask yourself and your partner. Have fun and be safe. Good luck.

Ok, I'm not entirely sure if this is the right category, but yeah. So I was sitting with my Girl on the porch, and she was kinda Lying kinda sitting on me, with her back toward me, and I had my arm around her, and she grabbed my arm and put it down her top onto her breast, (This is while I was nibbling on her ear... I'm 17 and not really skilled in this area.. What am I supposed to do?
Deat Confused,
You do not have to be skilled to please a girl. Just ask her what she wants. Girls want a partner who can pleasure them the way that they want to be pleasured. Once you know the details, go for it. She is your girl, so do not be shy. In the meantime, you can also inform her on what you want. That way you both are satisfied. Good luck.

ok, well....for the basics..I have had sex with 2 different people in my entire life (and to make things worse, they tell people i did it with them like a WHOLE BUNCH!!!) , and now all of this persons friends call me a slut and say im sloppy seconds (because, i am now dating ther friend.)And, Im going to have to go to school with all these people next year...sooo, basically what im asking is how do i get these people to stop calling me names? I rate HIGH!!! please HELP!
Dear I am not a slut,
You cannot change what these people are saying about you. You can ignore and understand the truth behind the rumors and just get over it. Please note that sex is not a bad thing and that you should not put yourself down for having had sex with two different people. Wow, we are in the same category, sister. What you should do is learn from the choices you have made in boys. It is obvious that the two boys that you had sex with had to go and tell all of there little friends about what they accomplished. Here is a clue: find a person that is true to himself enough not to tell anyone about his sexual life and if he does once in a while, ok, he is male; but not lie about it. These people are immature and will get what is coming to them in the long run. Move on to bigger and better things, girl. Good luck.

Congradulations, you are a human being. We all slip sometimes and watch some porn. We are humans and we are curious. That is so normal. Good luck.

Alright me and my ex are really close and we talk about having sex alot...I mean all the time..I feel ready and I think Im ready...I'm only 14...He is 15...I have never hasd sex before and I'm not sure if I should wait or what I should do??? I mean he doesnt push me into anything and never has and never will... Will someone give me some advice on what to do???
Dear Sex w/ an Ex,
Please do not have sex with him. I do not like to preach; but do not make this mistake. Please understand how serious sex is. Sweetheart, if you were ready you would not have wanted our opinions. Step back for a second and look over the possibilities. You can get pregnant or receive an STD. Could you imagine him being the father of your babies? Do you love him? I am not into the whole abstinence preach. If you want to have sex, you are going to have sex. Just wait until you find the right person. When you are a virgin, you believe that sex is going to be wonderful the first time. You think that there is so much pleasure involved and everything is going to be alright. No. If you do not have a special relationship with this person, you will get nothing out of this and when you do find that special someone, then what are you going to do? Please wait until you are sure this is right. Never feel pressured to have sex. Sex is meant to be special, not wasted. Good luck and use protection, if that is the decision that you make.
