My bestfriend is incredibly shy. At school everyone thinks she looks really depressed when she actually isn't and people mention that she seems to be glaring at them, whichc she also doesn't do. I have a friend group that she doesn't really fit in with and so she will hang out with me and my friends, but never talk unless I ask her a question. Even then she just usually says yes or no. She doesn't make much of an effort because she is tired and she feels that everyone hates her.
What can she do to be less shy? (link)

Tell her to try and perk up! Not so much that people think she is weird but so she gets some friends or goes into a group she fits in with. Im not saying you and her dont be friends i am saying that she needs to find her own group!!!!!!!!!

I'm fat/not pretty. Yesterday two of my 'friends' IMed me saying 'Hey Sexy'. I know they were joking around, but for some reason it just really got to me, and I felt like I was a joke to them. (they're both guys) Now I'm very mad at the two of them, and I know they both feel bad, they've sent me messages, called me, etc, but I just don't respond. My question is, am I overreacting? What should I do? (link)

Just because your not skinny doesnt mean they should do that to you. You might just be overreacting just a little. But you are doing the right thing by ignoring them. They have no reason to do that to you! Keep ignoring them and maybe they will get the hint tht they shoodnt do that anymore!

I have this friend, where shes really nice to me one minute and mean to me the next. When she's with her other friends she acts like she doesn't know me or says mean things to me and treats me like I'm her enemy and stuff. When she's alone shes nice and we jhang out and stuff and shes fine. She gets pissed off easily and if you do 1 thing that could make her a tad bit mad, she starts a fight. We had plans to go to movies and then my mom said at the last second I couldn't go, and she got really mad because she said she was so exited and stuff and I said I'm really sorry theres nothing I can do about it and I explained to her why I can't go and shes like fine I'm not going to be your friend anymore. Then a day later she forgets about it and acts like I'm her best friend. But if her other friend comes over, she has to rub it in my face and be like "I'm with Olivia" or whatever friend she has over. And I'll say ohkay thats nice and she'll be like ew your ugly don't talk to me and I don't like to fight so I just ignore all her mean IMs. But as soon as her friend is gone, she treats me normal again. Maybe shes insecure or only likes being with 1 friend at a time but shes got like split personalities. I try to talk to her about it and she says "I don't know what you're talking about you gotta be kidding me." She won't admit she can be a bitch sometimes. Don't get me wrong she's a really nice friend and she will stick up for you no matter what even if its to her other friends. She doesnt ditch me or stuff its just she can be a big bitch sometimes and its only to me and she gets REALLY mad when I'm with my other friends. So maybe she only wants to spend time with me and thats why when shes not with me shes a bitch? I need to know why she acts like this? Help me please. What can I do so are friendship can stay strong? Well when she is with her other friends just ignore it, like you have been doing. Then when she is being nice, say to her i no you know what i am talking about so why are you always mean when you are around other friends? Do they not like me so you dont at that time? I mean if she is going to be like that ALL the time then get rid of her she isnt worth getting worried about!

Me and a friend, lets call her Ann, have been friends since kindergarden. But now we never see eachother, hardly talk, and really have nothing in common. Then a week ago we had an agrument, I don't remember how it started, but I said she changed and started caring what the popular people thought and really wanted to be popular. When people started wearing their jackets backwards, she followed. When people started wearing converse, she did. When I told her I was getting an Ipod, she went out and got an mp3 player. She even said she was going to throw a party and make sure she invited some 'popular' people!! Then I asked why she wanted to be popular, they were just rude. She said she had some popular friends and they were nice. But they're not, hello I know them! Now we are not talking and she says I am wrong. So answer this: How can I be wrong if everything I said was true? (link)

You know what? Every friend goes through this they realize that being popular is awesome but then when they see what the 'popular' people do its not so cool anymore. 'Ann' just needs to see how BAD the 'popular' people can be.

okay, there's this gorgeous boy I know. He's completely flawless, and I have a big thing for him. One of my friends tells me that he actually likes me. Naturally, I was thirlled, but there's on problem: HE WON'T GO OUT WITH ME!! There's a lot going on with him, I guess. I mean we still flirt, hang out, etc., but does this mean I should lay off him in terms of flirting? the things have nothing to do with me [more-so family], but does that mean I should leave him be for now? thanks (link)

Yesterday my friend wanted me to sleep over her house another day but I cou ldn't because I had a bbq to go to and she wanted to come. So I called my parents asking if they could ask my aunt so they did but she said no. Then she got pissed at me because I wanted to go even if she couldn't go. I think it is really dumb but I don't know what to do. Last week she got mad because she couldn't sleep over my house. What should I do? How should I talk to her because I want her to stop getting mad at me over stupid things. (link)

Ok my friend does the same thing. She gets mad over stupid reasons, just tell your friend you have to do things with other people and not with her all the time. She has to realize that you dont have time for her!!!!!!!
