okay well i straighten my hair everyday and it has really taken its tool on my bangs even though i use a ceramic straighter. my hair straigher said im just pulling on them too much(they are thin) when i straighten them. ive tried trimming them to get rid of the really fried ends but it seems like they never go away. like right after i trim them they look fried again
they look fine after i straighten them but within a few min then flick out and thats when they look really bad
i dont want to keep trimming them because i know they are just going to get shorter, not better
is there anything i can try on them to make them not look as fried that isnt more than $10
( i dont care if it will kill my hair more as long as it makes it look better) (link)

OKay so whoever said to ditch straightening and use a hairdryer is wrong, they're both hot and they both ruin your hair.
There are treatments you can use every so often like the hot oil one someone mentioned, i use that, it's amazing.
There's also loads of products for people with this problem if you go to your drugstore and ask for these type of products that protect your hair from the damages of using straighters you should find something.

This one is for the guys...
Do you all find freckles cute? (link)
|
I know I'm not a guy but it depends on the taste of the person.
I have a few freckles and I hate them but some people find them cute. Like I said, it depends on the taste.

i'm thinking about japanese hair straightening. how log does it take? how much does it cost? how long does it last? or anything other information i may need. thanks. :] (link)
|
My friend got it done the other day. She didn't tell me how long it took but it lasts 3-6 months and costs $500 +
|
Ok me and my friends were fighting because we were debating on wether not knee highs are in or not....... wat do u think...... (link)
|
They haven't been 'in' since like the 90's?
People don't really wear them anymore apart from with uniforms and if you're looking to go with a preppy look.
They look cute with a nice mini though.

hey is von dutch still in style? because i have a hoodie but i dont know if i should still wear it even tho its brand new ... and oh how about uggs? because i read in a magazine they totally arent but a lot of people in school wear them! (link)
|
Von Dutch wasn't really ''in''. Only the Von Dutch trucker hats.
And uggs aren't exactly ''in'' like they're not in all the fashion magazines at the minute but loads of people still wear them so in a way they're still in
You shouldn't wear what's in or out though. Just wear what you feel comfortable in.

okay well i was wondering how much does it cost to permanently straighten your hair by a professional hairstylist. i have really curly hair and i want it straight. and do you have any suggestions on what to ask for to get it straight by the hairstylist.. like the Japanese thing or what ever it is.. thanks
signed,
confused
oh i rate 5's (link)
|
It isn't permanently straightend. It lasts up to about three months and then you have to have it done again.
Different salons have different prices but prices usually start from $150 upwards.
It's called relaxing. So that's what you should ask for, for them to relax your hair.

how can i prevent my eyeshadow from creasing by the end of the day?
(link)
|
I'm not 100% percent sure because I haven't tried it yet but I guy I know, who's a make-up artist told me to use a cream eyeshadow as a base and then to apply my normal eyeshadow on top.
Makes it last longer, so he says.

about how many mins. does it take to scrunch up your hair, how do you do it, how long do you have to hold it there for, and how curly/wavy does it get?
i rate high! (link)
|
Depending on how you do it, it can get more or less curly/wavy.
Use moose put it in your hand or on your brush and brush it through one side of your hair.
Then from the bottom, grab your hair in your fist and scrunch it upwards grabbing more hair on the way.
Just scrunch away.
You don't usually have to hold it there but if it isn't working try holding it a bit longer or use a stronger moose.
There isn't a specific amount of time it takes you to do it. It depends on how wavy you want it, the texture and length of your hair and how slow you are infront of a mirror.

is it bad to blow-dry your hair everyday? like i shower everyday in the morning, and for school i blowdry my hair so it lies flat- is that damaging for my hair? (link)
|
Yes, it is bad.
It drys out your hair and in a way 'burns' it and causes flyaways.
But everyone does it anyway! Same as straightening, curling irons, etc..
There's loads of produts that can stop your hair drying out from using stuff like that on your hair.
Go to your local drugstore, explain the problem and see if they can recomend anything.
You might have to try more than one product before you find one that works for you because not all products work on everyone but still, it'll be worth it in the end.

what are extentions? and where could i get some? are they expensive? (link)
|
Hair extensions are pieces of human or synthetic hair that makes your hair look like it's longer.
They can be ironed in or sewn in (like a weave)
They are quite expensive, at least in salons around me the prices start from about $180.
You should be able to get them at any decent salon near you.

Hiya I was wondering if anyone knows how to get that smokey eye effect with make up, also If you have any make up ideas that would look good but is not over the top for school that would be great. I am 15 I have dark green eyes, dark brown hair and fair skin.
Thank you will rate high for good answers. (link)
|
For fair skin use a taupe color. It defines your eyes but doesn't look harsh on you.
- Dust shadow on your eyelid, then use an angled brush to blend it from the outer corner into your crease.
- Use an eyeliner brush to brush line along your lower lashes
- Line your inner rims and around your eyes then lightly blend

Hi i just recently got my hair cut.
I got bangs and i got it layred and trimmed.
The look i was going for was Hilary Duff on a cinderella story
but my hair is like different at the tips..
her hair is really straight, and not wavy at the end.
how can i get my hair like that?
will rate. (link)
|
Using straighters.
Depending on the ones you buy they can be a bit pricey but they are well worth it but you may have to straighten it every other day if you want to always have straight hair.
Or you could get it chemically straightend which lasts up to three months but that's MUCH more expensive and isn't really neccesery unless you have really curly hair.

I'm 13 and i wanna start wearing makeup. My parents would probably only let me wear light stuff.. so nothing too drastic..
Can you tell me good products to start off with and where to get them (not too expensive please)
I have medium-dark brown hair, brown eyes, oval shaped face, I'm sorta on the pale side, and i have slightly red cheeks from acne.
Thanks!! (link)
|
Most girls that wear make-up have there own beauty routine, you've just got to find what suits you!
If you wanna get rid of the red cheeks, use concealer. Don't plaster on foundation, it looks so fake and wearing too much of anything on your face can make spots worse.
As for your eyes. Try a bit of eyeliner. It doesn't suit everyone so make sure you take a good look at your self.
I don't think it suits me, as much as I wish it did, it doesn't. So make sure you don't go out with it on if it doesn't suit you.
Try eyeliner on your top and bottom lid.
Also try a mascara. If you already have long lashes blck mascara can make your lashes look very fake, which is what happens with me. If that's the case, use a transparent mascara which seperates and makes them look longer without making them go jet black and fake-looking.
Eyeshadow .. start with pale colors or just shimmers. Don't go right up to your brow untill you know what you're doing, it can make you look like a drag queen :P it just takes practice.
As for your lips, if you're going with light stuff then a clear gloss or a light pink tinted gloss would probably look great.
Anyway, hope I helped. If you need anything else, drop me a line.

Ok, I have a blue and yellow HOLLISTER shirt. What color eye shawdow should I wear with it? It's been bugging me to death!
5's-Thanks! (link)
|
I don't care how many times people say blue eyeshadow is in again. Very few people can pull it off so unless you're sure blue eyeshadow suits you, don't go there.
It's better not to match your eyeshadow with your outfit anyway. It can look really tacky sometimes.
Try a shimmery gold or a very light shimmery white.
You could also go for brown or black smokey eyes. Which go great when you're dressing up or down.

what does it mean to scrunch up your hair?... i know this is really random but i was just wondering.. lol (link)
|
The most common way to scrunch your hair is to use a styling moose and put it on your hand and basically just scrunch. But make sure your hair is wet. Not dripping wet, just wet.
It goes wavy/curly-ish. It can look really nice.
You can put the moose on your brush and brush it through then scrunch it if you prefer it that.

uch i hate this i have brownish goldish eyes umm sorta tan skin (deffenintly not pale) and i have brown hair and light brown/dark blonde streaks like a lot of thtem, but the problem is that i have really dark eyebrows so it doesn't look natural up against my hair, n i deffenintly don't want to dye my hair but any ideas what i can do for my eyebrows, ne makeup that i can but on so they look lighter?? ill rate... (link)
|
To make them lighter you'd have to have them tinted.
I should imagine a lighter eyeshadow or brow pencil wouldn't work over dark brows because you'd just be able to see your natural color through lighter colors.
So consider getting them tinted.

Well, there are a few trends this fall but here's a few of them.
Lace -
This fall, celebs are adding class to their lifes with lace. Without over doing it. (you don't wanna look like an extra from My Fair Lady)
Add a blazer, jeans or basic black trousers to a lacy piece for a femenine touch. Keep accesories to a minimum like a pretty necklace.
Metallic -
This fall? gold, silver and broze are WAY in.
Some sparkly accesories will spruce up an outfit instantly. Or go to extremes like Nicole Richie who wore a gold metalic dress by Roberto Cavalli
Chunky Necklaces -
The trend started when the boho-chic look came into style, now they come in all shapes, sizes and colors and are SO hot right now.
Tweed & Plaid -
Unfortunatly, tweed is in (I hate tweed!) It's not really popular yet but judging on the masses of tweed there is on the runways it will be huge.
Go for a preppy look with a plaid skirt or a punk look with tweed cropped trousers.
Military -
Gone are the days of ugly combats. Military has had a make-over.
Big brass buttons, crisp silhouettes and navy are the keys of Military style.
Clashing prints -
As seen on the Olsen Twins.
Floral prints, bold colors, basically anything that clashes.
The keys to this trend are clashing layers of graphic stripes and floral prints
Victorian -
Lace and ruffles all the way.
Layering accessories -
Layer chains, fake pearls and chunky necklaces.
Balenciaga -
The bag of the moment.
Those are only a few and not all of them are in yet, but judging by the runways, they will be soon.
Hope I helped. If you need any other fashion/beauty advice, leave something in my inbox.
I have my own fashion site so I enjoy answering fashion questions.
