About kittenlover2000

I'll answer question on pretty much anything, though as I'm studying psychology and from past experience, I'm best at answering questions about love life, mental illness as well as giving career advice or job advice. I am also really into fashion and love these types of questions!. Oh and any pet help...

I have an average rating of 4.5 on here. Only inbox me questions that are short please and not about death/suicide. Honestly, there's nothing more dull that opening your inbox to 'I want to die'.

Anyway, ask away and I'll try to help out :)

Im 16/f and I do not get the whole fascination with dressing up, lots of makeup, dying hair etc. Like all the girls at my school are starting to wear these pretty dresses and doing their hair and they all look so beautiful..but its like i dont give a shit about any of that. Ive always been decent looking without doing a whole lot so i never really got into fashion or lots of makeup..I would like to tbh. Today i tried doing a smokey eye, and it kinda looked like shit lol. And i also tried looking up skirts and dresses that i could buy and they were all ugly and expensive. And all that stuff seems like a lot of work to keep up looking really nice everyday. I just dont get it, why is it so important? To feel good about yourself, sure but why else? I like looking nice but at the end of the day it doesnt really matter.. i dont wanna spend so much time on something that wont really get me anywhere and idk i just dont get it.

Edited answer:
Rate me a two girlie but I've rated your question low aswell.

Because you're not asking for a piece of advice but people to tell you you're perfect the way you are.
Can't take people's opinions? Don't be on the site

What is a good brand of nail polish that's cheaper than 10 dollars that lasts more than a few days?

Barry M is good.

Ones to avoid are Rimmel, Miss Sporty and Collection 2000.

I guess posh brands are good too but needless to say they're above 10 dollars.

I'm answering as a UK resident tho so apologies if you don't have these brands listed above in your drugstores.

fall must haves? cloths and accessories?

Hi :)

Well in the shops in terms of shoes we're seeing a darker than usual theme. So monochrome is back in.
Leopard print is also a next season must have.

Also those necklaces with arrows on that point downwards. Usually they are Gold-and hey you can team it up with a leopard print top to be doubley on trend.

The last one that I know about is bright, statement jumpers that are fitted. Oh and checked things are in fashion too!

I am a black female, so keep this in mind haha. I want to grow my hair out, but I don't know where to start. I am cuban also but my hair texture is that of any normal black person. I don't know where to start any suggestions that pertain to my hair is welcome. Thank You!

When you shampoo your hair make sure you really massage the scalp, this will stimulate hair growth.
I take Biotin-you can get it from any drug store. Just make sure you drink lots of water if you take this though-works for me.

I want to change my style from hot teen to young mom but don't want to wear things that screams old or anything like that. I know about the heels ( never wore them anyways ) and the shirts and earings and my hair but I mean on what the clothes look like themselves like the style. I don't know how to describe my style before I was pregnant but when I pictured wearing it while taking my son out as a 1 year old I looked like I was babysitting my younger brother and look 16. Doesn't help how I'm really short too (4'9"). Sorry for ranting I'm just not sure what to do.

I'm 18-not a mum, but totally get what you mean.
Something on trend, not teenager ish and stylish that flatters your figure, and makes you get taken more seriously?
This also works for people who may look young for their age, like me!

1) Try blouses. Now I'm from/live in the UK. Idk if you have Dorothy Perkins in America? But here's a link to what I mean. A cream, or pastel shade will stop you looking frumpy. When I wear this, it adds years to me in a good way, and makes me look more sophisticated. Its elegant and is great for covering up lumps and bumps. Here it is: http://www.dorothyperkins.com/en/dpuk/product/clothing-203535/blouses-shirts-1973671/blush-tipped-placket-shirt-2115152?bi=1&ps=20
I own the cream one. You may want to wear a t-shirt underneath this. The floatyness will distract from your height.

2)Avoid leggings. Super comfy-but super like what teenagers wear. Instead try something more sophisticated, like cropped trousers. http://www.hm.com/gb/subdepartment/LADIES?Nr=4294961817#Nr=4294929382

3) Wear scarfs. This is quite economic because if you buy a few you've got a great choice of outfits. Wear them lose though.

4) Instead of wearing converses/ugg boots, wear something more elegant. Like ballerina's. If you invest in a good pair of boots for the winter, you can get healed yet super comfy and durable ones.

5) Finally tight fitting blazers. These are everywhere at the moment and would suit a smaller frame perfectly.

To re-cap:
Floaty blouses with a defined V-neck adds years to someone in a good way.
Leggins are great for the housework but I'd opt for lose fitting trousers in black/blue to make the legs appear longer.

I think the thing to remember is yes you're a mum and clothes that are comfy are great, but you're still an 18 year old, so its nice to be on trend and comfy, and have the best of both worlds.

Hope I helped?

i have light brown hair and green eyes.im thinking about dying it black,i feel like i need a change or something and i really wanna do it,should i?

From someone with dark brown hair and green eyes...I don't think blacks right!
I don't know what you look like, so hey maybe black will look good.

To look your best, its recommended that people only go a few hades lighter or darker than their natural colour. Your natural colour should enhance features you already have-like green eyes, and if you don't mind me saying black can look quite harsh on someone.

If you want to change, why not dye it a chocolate brown or blonde? Alternativley, there is the option of highlights for that summer glow, or just getting a fresh new cut would look good.

Hi, I'm a 13 year old girl. My glasses broke about 1-2 week(s) ago, and my parents set up an eye appointment for me at the end of next week. I have an oval face shape, light blue eyes, and a lazy eye. I have an idea of what kind of glasses I need but I'm not for sure. I need some help, what kind of glasses do I need due to my eyes and face shape?

My sister did some work as a dispensing optition (someone who fits glasses) once, so I'll give you some top tips!

1)Look at the shape of your chin. Do you have a round or square chin? If it's round, go for square shaped glasses and if its square, go for a round frame. For example, Nicki Hambleton Jones wears circular glasses to suit her square jaw.
2) You're only 13, so you still want to be on trend. Frame with thick sides look youthful, as do any frames that are black or brown. Personally I'd aviod gold frames or silver frames because I think they're for older people-however because you have blue eyes the silver frame wouldn't look too bad.
3) Consider hair colour. If you have dark brown-black hair, a good choice is a brown frame, as a black frame may make you look abit feirce. If you have fair hair, silver could be sophisticated but overall I think black looks the best
4) Ensure the glass part isn't too big for your eye, so that it doesn't look ridiculous.

That's about it, but if you remember two things, its to a)don't by 'Geek' glasses! b)Choose a pair you love not what your parents/friends love-glasses need to be worn with confidence!

im 15/f from NJ i know some of my friends that want to go to FIT and they are going to go and intern to try and get work or something like that, and i was wondering how can i get work as a makeup artist?? i do my moms makeup when she goes out, which is alot, and she pays me. everyone compliemts me on my makeup. i try to learn new techniques and stuff i read the Bobbi Brown makeup manual book. I was thinking about doing freelance makeup but i dont kow how that really works. so how do i get clients and mkae money from this? How much should i charge? also do yu know if their are any workshops coming up by famous artists to leann new techniques beacause i really want to go. thankss

I think the most important thing here is to not pretend to be a make up artist that you're not.

So you do make up-great, but you can't call yourself professional yet. So I guess the best route to go down would be where people don't require minimal makeup.
A key to getting a job anywhere nowadays, but especially in the creative industry is experience. And you need it!

There are lots of kids party companys that specialize in girls aged about 7-10, and they do parties and with that do kids makeup. Why not enquire if you could come along to some parties and observe? If you make intelligent suggstions and be really helpful and aimiable, they may take you on? If not, at least you've got experience!

The thing is, you're still in education being only 15, which means places on any course anywhere at that age will be small if there at all. I'm not being rude-thats the truth!
Also, to get on these courses you have to have experience, as competition is very high!

So, being a make up artist profesionally is not something that happens overnight. I suggest lower your expectations, and concerntrate on building experience, even if its voluntary like doing old peoples make up as a treat in care homes, and charge later? To get to my goal, I had to do voluntary work in the most dire places, but hey at least it won me the experience :)

***IF YOU SAY, "IM SURE YOUR FINE." GO AWAY.***
So, I'm 13 & get taunted a lot about my small butt and boobs. Although everyone knows me, like someone says my name and their like yeah I know her and I'm friends with pretty much everyone. My friends in my class (boys) say why do you wear a bra and stuff like that, we all laugh then go onto another subject and and it's just a joke. I know it, they know it, we all do. But it's true. I want to get a bigger butt & pair of boobs and my guess for the boobs is massage it for two weeks then see if theirs any progress and I think it'll work. Then for the butt I am going to lay on my tummy, and push my legs up so my butt will be recieving the work out rather than my thighs or anything.

And might I add I weigh 105 where as my average weight for my height and age is 117. So that's some of the problem, but I enjoy being carried due to my lack of weight and being envyed by so many girls for my body. My ex [who is like a brother to me and he is my world. He looks out for me and we're best friends. Only friends but he's nice] said to my friend allure while I was doing something, that if I had a better < notice meaning all I have to do is improve> body then I'd be hot! I know , I know. "I'm sure your fine." I am fine. Really, but in highschool next year I at least want to be up to level with the other girls and have a big butt and at least B sized boobs! That's all I want!

Lastly is Makeup. I want really dark lashes that is like clumpy but so clumpy that they look real thick and spider-leg-y. Haha. I just want really nice thick eyelashes. This girl is my role model and she has really dark eyelashes and of course it's makeup, but I don't care. And I want them dark and people say just buy volumizer and it doesn't work. I was told use the L.A. Kind mascara and I looked for it but couldn't find it.

Thanks in advanced and sorry it was so terribly long.

I used to be like you a year ago-I'm 17 now.

And I get how it feels too!
Lets start with the butt. I'm a really slim girl-and I was wondering whether you like me have a high metabolism? If so, you need to be eating lots of high calorie healthy food like dairy products , nuts and things to help gain weight.
The bum I find is the easiest place to start because you can see results quicker. I do squats and really push myself. I also do lunges and step ups, a full plies with a straight back. This really works the butt muscles and if you're persistant results will be seen in no time.
No on to the breats. These are trickier-and are only really likely to get bigger during pregnancy. but there are things you can do to encourage them, such as chest exercises, that bild the muscle below where the breasts are, thus making them appear larger.

Finally onto the mascara. Now then, most girls wear fake eyelashes to get that spider effect look. You can get quality ones that are easy to apply and will be easy to apply.

Hope this helps. Ultimatly to get larger breasts or butt you need to gain weight. Remember to warm up before you do any kind of exercise, and to wear appropriate clothing and things.

In my experience, I found what I told you worked for me, and its a great way if you want to increase your butt slightly and breasts slightly. So be patient :)

OKAY SO I KNOW IT LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF STUFF, BUT IT IS MOSTLY JUST NAMES OF PRODUCTS. LET ME SAY THANK YOU IN ADVANCE BECAUSE THIS TOOK ME A WHILE TO WRITE AND WHOEVER ANSWERS WILL MAKE ME EXTRAAAAA HAPPYY!!!!!!!!!

Hey!
I have foxy curls from bed head and I'd reccomend it, not just because it smells amazing!!

What i do with it to get wrinklets is wash my hair, comb through the foxy curls cream, towel dry it untill it's 80% dry then use a diffuser to dry the hair, and then not only do you get hot long lasting curly hair but also a long lasting lush smell :)

It really works :)

19/f

I have a lot of spare time, now that I'm done with sports and athletics. My friends say I'm pretty, so i'm considering looking for a modeling job? preferably just photography model, I do not want to be an actress or anything. I'm just lost on how to become one. I've done some thinking about this and this is my plan so far..

-get a photoshoot done at a photography place (just like people do for Senior Pictures in high school).
-send those pictures to modeling agencies nearby and see what they say.

But my problem is.. I have no modeling experience. So i'm trying to find newer agencies that will accept new models. Does anyone have any tips or advice?

Also, if I can't find any good modeling agencies online, what do you think about looking on craigslist? I am kinda scared because what if its not a real agency and its just some perv trying to rape someone haha. How can I trust if an agency is real or not? I don't really want to go alone, but I have no one to bring with me..

help!

Hey,
Most modelling agencies look for people who arn't just pretty with a great body, but for people who are different from the crowd.

So first of all you could make sure you always dress differently in clothes that fit your figure perfectly, rather than the trend. Then you'll get noticed.

You could of course submit portfolios to modelling agencies. But be careful-if the agency asks you to pay to send in your portfolio then its not a real agency.

Also, take up new hobbies like any kind of dance. Alot of people like to hire models who have experience in the thing their advertising. It's not just about the look, it's about the individuality, the charm and the intelligence.

Attend fashion weeks as this is a gathering for top fashiond esigners and retailers. Alot of magazines run model competitions. Send in your photo and check the respnse.

Good luck :)
