How much are you supposed to tip your hair stylist if you're getting your hair highlighted? (The price is around $50-$75)

I tip depending on how much I like it.
Obviously, I tip a standard 15%, come and go if the service was horrible.
And then I look at all the pluses, it came out really nice, time efficeient, etc.. and then maybe add a bonus.

I have had the same hair stylist since I was in middle school and she never accepts my tips anymore because she's done my hair forever. But yeah.

hey i was thinkin of after my shower putting gel in my wet hair and scrunching it. do i need to blow dry my hair as/after i do this? can i just let it air dry? thanks

Usually, most people after stepping right out from a shower and putting gel in their her, and scrunching it, usually lets it dry naturally.

okay, well i have a black dad and a white mom.. well i dont have white hair and i dont have black hair either.. but its frizzy. it looks REALLY pretty when its straightened, but when you dont put special stuff on it, it looks bad.. anyway, is there any special straightening stuff that you guys know of to put on my hair?

Well, I have naturally straight hair, but I know my friend's uses the John Freida DeFrizz collection and it works wonders on their hair.

I'm 5' tall, 125 lbs, 34 yrs old, 34D. Short and plump. I wear big shirts and tight jeans to hide this. I really want to dress for my age as well as my body type. Any suggestions or pictures of outfits???

With dresses - You can add inches to your height be adding a head-to-toe ruffle (in dresses) and it will create a n illusion of length. But don't make the ruffle too like "showy" otherwise it's takes away from your body. Also, a long fitter, soild-color dress will work the most, you don't want excessive floral/flowery/busy prints that just attract the eyes to your stomach and make you look bigger than you already are.

Clothes in general that are 1-2 colors, not that many will work and fitted clothes so your body won't cling to them.

In addition, wear tops that are longth length, I'm sure you've seen all those "bohemian" tops that are all the rage right now, those really add to increase your torso length.

AVOID very full skirts because they add to your stomach and basically increase the look of your waist size and overpower your frame.

Halter tops will add to your body and enhance them very nicly.

Also, don't wear the latest trends of the "clam diggers" or mid-way capris that go to your knee caps.

Last year I dyed my hair black and i've kept it black since then. I am now trying to get my hair back to a more natural color: dark brown-light brown. I tried Herbal Essences Dye.. It was called Iced Bronze or something like that.
It just dyed my roots brown and make the black in my hair a really odd color.

If anyone knows a good brand and/or color of dye that will completely cover black, let me know!!
Thanks a BUNCH!

Let me say, don't screw with your hair without a professional doing it.
I know from my friend's experience, she tried to dye her hair bleach blonde, and ended up effing her hair up so badly, that she lost half of her hair "volume." Like, it practically fell out.

Be safe, spend some "extra" money and obviously the results will be guarenteed to work.

ok well on june 17 it is my sister party. they r taking communion and i need some help i need to find a hair style that i can give the salon to put it in. does anyone have a website that i can has pictures of different hair styles. i have brown hair with red and blonde highlights and my hair is 3 inches past my shoulders.thanks.

I don't really think you need to find a picture to copy it. I say you go earlier to your hair stylist and ask them what they think would look the absolute best on you because, hell they have a lot of experience and they should know what looks best with what type of face frame, hair color etc.

The obvious trend this year is BOLD and DARING!! Don't be hesitant to chop your hair off in layers, or even to dye your hair. Whatever happens, it will look hot!

I have long blonde hair and i usually just wear my hair down or in a messy bun. but over the summer, i wanna try something different. are there any hair style suggestions that you guys could give me?
thanks! ill rate good!

I'm not sure if you changed your hair since me posting this.
But, you know what, if you're beach bound, and wanting to look like a bombshell, I say you freaking layer your hair to an insane amount and maybe get bangs.

My mom's best friend is a hair stylist in NYC and she always keeps me up on the latest trends (yes, even hair trends). "Longish" bangs are so in right now, and if you are to keep your hair blonde, make it like bleech blonde (obviously, if you don't want to damage it) keep it the same.

If so, a great way to lighten your hair is to squeeze lemon juice on it before you go out in the sun and just let the sun "heat" up and absorb your hair.

It really works, and you'll have hot hair in NO time!

I want to do this pageant, but I don't Know how to ask my mother and father. I've never really been into pageants, I've always been more into acting and singing. I think it would give me more self confidence. But now that I'm turning 15 I started to like all that pageant modeling stuff. I just dont know how to ask them and to let me go. Also what are some tips that I should know. I've never done this before. They also want to do an interview, so does anybody know what type of questions they ask? It said no past experience is necessary, but I would appreciate some tips and things to remember because I don't want to mess up. Also, Im a little self concience (sorry about the spelling!) I have bad eczema ( pronounced eggsema ) and It's always been an issue for me. Do you think that doing this pageant will give me more self confidence or make my self concienciousness ( again sorry about the spelling ) worse? Thank you!

I've done quite a lot of pagents and you know, I think it's one of the best things I've ever done. I've met so many girls from doing it, and you know, it's not even really about getting trophies and stuff, but it really allows a girl to "know" herself.

When I started doing them as a confidence boaster, I was so awkward, and just trying out and talking in the public really allowed me to, well... TALK.

I'm sure if you tell this to your parents openly, they will understand completely.

If not, I would definately like to email your parents and explain to them how great pagent-y is for teenagers.

My hair has been extra tangled lately. In the morning it takes 10 minutes to brush out my wet hair. Can anyone suggest some products to cure this problem. My first thought was Johnson & Johnson's No More Tangles shampoo, but isn't that for little kids?

haha. I've never tried it, but I'm sure Johnson&Johnson's would probably work. I mean, it's hair... what the hell is the difference?

I have naturally straight hair, but I know that my friend's use John Frieda's Frizz-Ease and it works like magic for them. :)

Also, this might be off subject, but it's really bad to brush your hair when it's wet. lol. Yeah, I know. It adds to dead hairs and split ends! Just some more advice!

Im not very positive about myself. If im at the mall with my best friend or something (shes SUPER pretty) and guys are like all over her I feel really bad. I try everything to make myself prettier. I have some acne and im really skinny but not aneroxic. Im going up to west virgina to see this guy next week.. What can I do to make myself more prettier?

Confidence.
I don't read what the other people wrote above me.

K.
About your acne, if you've had acne for quite a while, I would suggest asking your parents to set up and appointment and see if you need any special creams etc.

If that's too much of work, I would suggest Clean & Clear Face Scrub.. but not to much otherwise it will dry out your skin. Also, try Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Clenser, I use it religiously. lol.

Because it's basically "summer" don't forget to constantly lotion up your skin with a SPF of ATLEAST 15 to protect your skin.

If you need fashion advice, like clothes etc, please feel free to contact me.

GOODLUCK!
