okay well im turning 13 in november... and i havnt gotten my period yet... is that abnormal??? all my friends got theirs already?? if ya help me out then thanx!

Some girls don't get their period until they are 16. You may fell left out among your friends, but it's nothing to worry about. Just be glad you don't have to deal with it! If you don't get it in a few years, take a trip to the doctor's and they'll fill you in on what your problem could be.

Your mom cares for you because she wants to help protect you from teenage pregnancy. Some people aren't allowed to take the pill and have to worry about getting pregnant way more. Just remember that the pill still doesn't work against STDs, so encourage your partner to wear a condom.
