advice
i play basketball and i was wandering what can i do for practice. i mean what is like a really good practice for basketball? please help.
*i rate*
This sounds weird, but play basketball with a few guys..if you have a guy friend whos on a basketball team or someone who likes to play alot for funm ask em for a game of like 2 on 2 after school. I got better by playing guys, theyr taller so it forces you to shoot better. And alot of guys on basketball teams have some great skills they'll love to show off, lol. It worked for me, i learned some new moves too. Try it out
I love volleyball... but i fucking hate my coaches... they are such dush bags... should i quit or should i stick with it? if i quit i would def. play soccer... HELP!!
Dont quit, show the coach whos boss..just dont get ur self kicked off the team, lol. Soccers a good sport too. See if theres any like sunday leagues around where u live. Theres always an indoor soccer place around somewhere!
what are intervals i have nvr heard of thoes and have played 4 a long time? can u tell me and n e other exersizes u can use?

ive played for like 4 years and im goin into my 5th season but on varsity this year, and ive done 3 years of AAU. And i run track in the spring which is where i learned about intervals. Intervals are where u mark out a distance, we usually do these on the track. The whole point of these things are to wear ur body out to the point of exaushtion! So you mark out ur distance..ur best bet is 1/4 of a mile. Try to run that distance in under 40 seconds...and make sure u run em with like really fast. But what u do is u only give ur self one minute before u go and do it again! Do it like 5 times..give ur self a 2 minute break then do a couple more. This should make u really tired but theyr gonna make u alot faster. Another thing u think u should try to work on is buliding up ur leg strength, after all..when ur playin defence ur legs get hella tired! Id mesure out like 20ft of space in ur backyard..or if u have a long driveway that works too. Do a series of these things in kinda a jogging type thing-butt kicks..jog and bring ur feet up and hit ur butt, high knees...when ur jogging bring ur knees up as high as u can, short skips..do em really fast and keep the skips tiny, long skips..ur goin for distance on these, and do some lunges..im pretty sure ur gonna know what those are. Another suggestion i have...join track in the fall. its gonna teach u some skills to help prepare for sports. Ive been doin track since i was in 7th grade, im in 10th right now and plan on doin it again.
Hope ive been able to help ya hun! Anymore questions just leave em in the inbox.
i play basketball really good but i need to improve in getting faster. Does anyone have a clue of what i can do to maybe improve in getting faster?
Ok, if you know what ladders are (also called suicide..) try doing those. Also, id messure out an area about the size of a basketball court and give ur self a time limit to sprint from baseline to baseline...start with 10 seconds...do it 3 times..then drop it to 9 seconds..do it 3 times and so on. This is what my bball coach has us do. If you know what intervals are try those. If you want more explanation feel free to leave ur questions in my inbox.
I hate basketball. well i don't hate it i just dont like it very much. Everyonr says I should play even our school's coach but i don't know. im 5'7 so they say ill be a good rebounder or defender??? but i cant shot! i miss everything! should i play?
Yes, you dont have to shoot to b a good player. If u can pass good, block, or are really good at defence id give it a shot. And if u try out and decide u dont like it..u can quit, its not like its written in stone or anything.
The year I decided to try out for volleyball. Before the tryouts, we had 3 days of practice to get us ready. The 3 practice days are over, and they were pretty rigorous. After every practice, my wrists and legs would hurt for hours. It hurts to walk. Before practice, we run a few laps around the track and run up stairs to warm up. Tryouts are on Tuesday. Is there anything I can do to stop the pain from coming after practice? Or is it just because I'm not used to working out this hard and I'll get used to it after a while?
The same thing happens to me when i havent worked out or ran for a long time. Your body gets used to it...if it doesnt then i would stretch more before practices.
