I'm a tracky and I love soccer and most of my close friends play diffrent sports... so sport questions I can help with...
I have awesome friends but we have had our tough times so friendship problems, I know almost all...
I'll tell you straight out what I believe whether good or badd... but I try to be as nice as possible... I answer any type of question...
I'm a Junior in high school... which means I'm in 11th grade for those who don't have any special names and such... i'm 16 since july 9th

I have a track meet friday, and last time i had one, i fell! and couldnt run for the rest of that meet. Well, like i said above, I have a Track Meet Friday, and I am soo scared!!! and I am so nervous, i have been since monday, no joke! and i have been thinking about it since then! i know it sounds crazy, but it sure is true!! SO, what are some things that i can do to distract myself from being nervous? I have a fear of falling too, i fell in the open 100M dash! and i have to do it again tomorrow, and also the open 200M dash! and i am fine w/ doing the 200, its the 100 i am nervous about. when i fell i dontknow what happened, and i only had scratches on my legs, not my hands or anything. so, i think i was breathing funny because i was nervous and blacked out. well, I also dont know weather or not to use the blocks. :/

I'm on the track team too... i use to do the 100 but i do the 200 and sometimes 800... what my friend told me to do is when your at the starting line and such just focus.. like some people will be jumping aroung and such but just get in your position and just look at the finish line... easy breaths... just like its only you.. block eveyone out and when the gun goes off so do you... i tried it during the 200 and i thought it works... GOOD LUCK AT YOUR MEET... I HAVE ONE TOMORROW!!! I'm doing the 800, throwing disc ( i usual throw shot put), 4x1 relay (we are close to making states), and long jump... im a busy gal... try what i said and tell me how it goes

first of all, i apologize for the misspelling of 'skating', and the general idiotic appearance of the title. but it worked, didn't it? you came in here to correct me! :P
i am a 16 year-old rookie skater (female) who can't ollie yet.
i was at the skateboard-city.com forums, and this guy posts a rather mean post about how most of the girls that skate are posers, who skate to try to get with 'skater boys', or to get the whole 'skater punk rock' look.
whe someone calls you a poser, the first reaction is to deny it. so of course all of the female skaters on that site protested, but it made ME wonder...
am i a poser? i wish i could say no, but i honestly don't know. there are various reasons why i started to skate (about six mo. ago).
i can definitely say that i didn't start skateboarding because i thought the 'skater style' was hot or anything. i am a "girly-girl" however, i'm not so sure about the skater boy factor. what if i unconsciously DID start to skate because i wanted to meet skater boys? i know it's definitely true that i wanted to make some friends (regardless of gender) through skateboarding.
also the fact that skateboarding - just skateboarding around your town and on the streets itself looked "cool" was a part of the reason why i started. but is this necessarily bad? don't guys get inspired, after seeing a skating video, to do better because of how 'cool' it looks?
and, is it possible to start off as a poser (start skating to look cool or meet guys or whatever) but to change along the way?

your not a poser... when i read what you just said sounds like me... but i started because my boyfriend did and it was bonding and i learned to have fun while i was learning... im a rookie as well... learning to ollie... some asses call us grls posers because some dont want us females to take over the skating world... but some guys are cool about it... skating is a fun thing to do like any sport so i dont see the deal why some make it a bigg deal... skate and have fun chick...

So I started my spring track season pumped and ready to go in the beginning of March...then my hip started hurting me when i ran so i went to the doctor and she told me i had a growth plate problem and i would have to sit out for 4 weeks then get 7-10 days of physical therapy and i looked at the schedule and i was heartbroken but i was only gonna miss 7 meets and be back in time for one of my favorite meets for freshmen and sophomores only...well i finished my 4 weeks rest and today the physical therapy perscription came in the mail saying 2 to 3 times a week for 3 to 4 weeks....which means i would miss the entire rest of the season....i told my mom i wasnt gonna do it and shes like fine go run and i want to because my hip doesnt bother me anymore but i dont know if my coach will let me run without a doctors note saying i can...i spent an hour crying over this...sports are my life and i can't imagine not doing track, ive been to the meets ive missed to watch and i almost cried because i miss it too much..what do i do now?
IM A TRACKY TOO!!!...Only one season... i know its hard but you dont to ruin ur hip for good... go to the meets and support your team but you should stay out and get ready for next season...

Hi im Jess i really need to know how can i get more aggressive in soccer because i love the sport ive been playing for 9 years and i just cant seem to get aggressive. Ive heard people say i need t get more aggressive but i dont know how so if anyone has any ideas plz let me know. Thx

use your shoulders and want to get the ball... and when you loose it don't be like whatever... you have to go for it and try to get it... i dont know what position you play but every position you have to do your job and being agrresive is needed... hope i helped

Hi im Jess i love soccer very much and i enjoy it until my coaches ruin it. If i make one little mistake they yell alot. I hate when they do that because im having a great time until they come along and ruin it what can i do to avoid their annoyance to me. thx i rate high

trust me i know what ur going through... first year of highschool soccer was horible and i let them bugg me and soccer was ruined... if it wasnt for my town couch i would have quit... you have to let it go in one ear and let it out the other... only let the useful tips help... do your best and play the game... soccer is he best... and its one of those sports u cant stop loving

okay im in track and im not the best runner and the only reason i joined is to get in shape for the summer well anyways my friends think they are getting shin splints and i might be getting them too how can you help this or make them go away and it is really tough on your shins cuz we do hurdles even though it is in middle school level but thanks.
Im in track too but im a sprinter, long distance runner, long jumper, and shotputter... i know allot... but what i do is tap my toes.. like just stand there when ur streching and tap ur toes like 100 times fast... and ice em... that should help... my good friend is a hurdler.. she made states and thats what she did... hope i helped
