i used to be good at basketball until certain circumstances in my life forced me to give it up for a long period of time.

i'm in love with it again; but unfortunately i am badly out of practice. still decent, but not great.

is it possible (please look at the age*) for me to improve, and regain my old skill? obviously i am going to practice- but will simply practicing do it?

i understand that this is all very general, but please just tell me what you know.

also, any general tips on how to get better at basketball (exercises, etc) would be very much appreciated.

I love basketball!! I can help you out. YES!!! practicing will deffiantley do, but also camps and clinics will also do... Here is a drill that can help. Lay ups will help but also you dribble the ball up (your drive-way or a court) with w-e hand and then you dribble back down with the opposite hand.. that really helps for you to become a better ball handler... if you have any more questions about basketball juss ask me b/c i play on a team! or any questions just ask!!

What are some really good exercises that get your heart pumping that you can do when it's kinda cold?? It's in the 20's or 30's. I want to stay in shape for fitness testing. thanx, i rate all 5's.

Here are some things you can do. You can do push ups, jumping jacks, running or jogging, and also you could jump rope... Well i think thats all i can think of..! i hope i helped a little!! and good luck wih everything*~ =)

The year I decided to try out for volleyball. Before the tryouts, we had 3 days of practice to get us ready. The 3 practice days are over, and they were pretty rigorous. After every practice, my wrists and legs would hurt for hours. It hurts to walk. Before practice, we run a few laps around the track and run up stairs to warm up. Tryouts are on Tuesday. Is there anything I can do to stop the pain from coming after practice? Or is it just because I'm not used to working out this hard and I'll get used to it after a while?

Well your probally not used to working out this hard, but also Bengae (its kinda like a lotion you put on you and it feels icy and hot!)would help... i hope i helped! good luck~*

I play basketball, and my best friends are all on my team. One of my REALLY good friends Dad, is alway hitting me, and throwing basketballs at me. I know that he's just joking around, but he does it all the time. And sometimes it REALLY hurts! I don't know if I should tell someone, b/c I think he's just kidding, is he??

YES!!! you should tell atleast someone... even if hes joking still you should tell someone...! maybe hes not joking maybe hes just pretending that he is but he really means it. you never know..! well thats all i got!!!! i hope that helps if you have any more questions juss ask!! =)
