Im 15. I think I want to invite my boyfriend over to my house to just hang out, but when we get hungry I want to be able to cook him something special and really delicious?
any ideas / recipes?
why dont you try whipping up something light and fun ;-). Being a young chef myself, i can guess that you dont want to make anything to heavy so you two feel sick later on, and dont want anything unimpressive. Im gonna suggest making a mixed fruit smoothie. Start off by blending 2-3 cups of ice (depending on your choice of thickness) with a half cup of milk, also adding thick and smooth texture. Once the ice is nice and finely chooped, add 1 1/2 bananas, a hand full or two of strawberries, a couple mixed color berries, and whatever you may think of that would add to the flavor.
if you like ensalada (salad), i like to make a southern chicken ensalada. Use either bonless chicken or Tyson frozen chicken strips. i prefer a nice cast iron skillet to simmer 2 handfulls of chicken/chicken strips in 1/4 cup of water on med. heat for about 5 minutes (use a knife to cut one piece and make sure its just right). if your like me, and dont like to cut a whole head of lettuce, pull out a bag of Dole* lettuce and fill up 2 regular sized bowls. add cherry tomatos, sliced onion, corn (if you like), brocoli and cauliflower, and lay chicken strips on top of all. Add your fav. dressing, salt/pepper, or other condiments of choice and serve.
like i said..its light, you wont overeat, and its nice and healthy!
