most people call me ashlee but i personally like ash. i'm 14 and i live in connecticut, i have the most amazing friends ever. i'm not perfect one bit, i have many things about me people don't know, i have anxiety&&depression i was diagnosed with my anxiety when i was about 7 but i had it since 5. my depression was last year and it was so scary, i love to help people with any type of problem they may have. back in 1st grade my best friend and i actually had a fix fight club, when two people were fighting we would help them sort it out haha

Okay, well i went to a party about two weeks ago and this guy i didn't know but thought was cute told one of my friends he thought i was cute and we started texting and he said i was pretty and cute and all that but he saw me from a distance and i usually don't get boyfriends because i mean i'm not the most prettiest girl in the world but i'm not the worst either but i think that once i see him again he won't think i'm pretty because he saw me from a distance and he is a really popular guy and i can't believe he would like me. So i don't know what to do. Also, i haven't kissed a guy before and i didn't want him to know that but one of my friends told him. I don't want the cutest guy in school to think i am unexpierienced. I mean i am but i found out from his best friend that he was talking about that to him, not bad about it but just talking about it. I mean, i am really shy but and i just don't want him to know that. Once, he sees me up close, i don't think he will like me...what should i do? (link)

develop a solid relationship. either bf&gf or just as good friends. when you have this solid friendship then he will be more understanding about you being unexperienced.

Hi...let me just start out by saying im a 16/male...I guess ill just go ahead and start babbling now...
I decided, until recently, to be out of the dating game. Recently I've been going out with a girl that I'm absolutely crazy for and she's my first serious girl. I'm very glad that we're going out, but she's had boyfriends before me. I guess what I'm really getting at is that she's kissed before, and I of course, having not been dating, have not. We had our first kiss already but I don't know whether or not I did a very good job. I'm pretty sure it was decent, but of course I wouldn't know. I guess I just want to know if it will make it odd with her after a pretty awkward kiss, though I know she wanted me to kiss her. Basically, I want to know if it's normal to feel like this, like to be worried that things will change.

im sure your fine, but there was this guy i dated for a little while and it was like he was gonna suck my face off. after the first time i didnt want to kiss anymore so yeah when we did i cut it short and tried to be into the movie so i wouldnt have to kiss him.
just look for those signs. if theres nothing then your all good. ps you wont get better until you practice and maybe just talking to her would help

okay well im 14/f also and i just got out of my 1st relationship too. we talked on the phone and for the first few nights (because it was a sunday so we couldnt hang out during the week) it was really akward and my best friend just kinda laughed and said it will get better the more you talk to him and the more you relax and say what your thinking. so i did. if there was a dead silence i would say something like so whats your favorite movie? im watching mean girls, i love that movie... and then that could spark a convo. in public do the same thing. try to get questions that will spark a conversation but also so you can learn about him (this will come in handy when its his birthday or a holiday and you have to buy gifts) if your watching tv together and you see a commercial for a new movie or tv show just say wow that looks realy good or stupid what do you think? (convo right there and keep it going) just do that anywhere the more you say whats on your mind the easier talking to him will be!
i would be more help but its kinda hard to be specific when i dont really know where your goign with him.

i just kind of went through the same thing, im the same age and i guess its just(gonna sound weird but true in a way) that you finally realized guys and everything, you knew they were there before but not like now, just try flirting a little not a lot cause hes your friend but like joke around, when your talking and he says something be like comon and give him a little shove in the shoulder just little things like that to get closer to him, start hanging out more and get comfortable with him. find out what he likes to do and his favorite color, it makes flirting a little easier and you will have something to talk about. if you need anything im me xoashhx33 or my email and msn is xoashhx33@hotmail.com

I always avoid guys I like. I'm either really intimidated by him or I want to seem more confident by not talking to him or I'm embarrassed of liking a guy.
I'm quite an introvert. I'm really embarrassed that a guy might know I like him and I try to hide the fact that I like him by never to talking to him much, or avoiding him, never making eye contact, etc.
I'm too shy about this and I need some advice. (Books, tips, exercises? Anything.)

okay well there must be something you are good at like sports or a hobby, maybe your good at math or something like that. and concentrate on the good in yourself! find a new hobby that guys are involved in also (make sure it is one you will actually like) and you dont even have to like any of the guys in it, just be with the girls and guys and just get comfortable around them, just start a conversation calmy if your all together and just be like hey that math test was hard today wasnt it? or like are you ready for the science quiz tomorrow then when it comes to the guy you like, it wont be so hard to be yourself, you can just strike up a conversation with him without being nervous, try looking(the guy in your new hobby) in the eyes when you talk, not like crazy just be polite.

a friend hug i think lasts shorter than a more than friend and you closer to them when its more than a friend... at least i think so
